You mean like "surely not" that Bush Jr would be reelected or Trump being the GOP presidential candidate... surely not that a white guy does not get charged for killing blacks.. surely not, that never happens...
Just saying, I could easily see a local state jury freeing the guy... which is why the Feds have to go in and make it a federal case.

I'd probably let the state have first crack at him for capital murder though. If he walks or is sentenced to 15 days cleaning highways, then the feds can step in and charge hate-crime.

I honestly thought that President Barack H Obama being multiracial would help heal a divide in our nation. Not just blacks and whites but Muslims and Christians. No, I don't believe Obama is a Muslim but I do believe that he has a better understanding of the religion that anyone else who has held that office. I even believed that his experience as a community organizer would help with that melting pot. Instead, I believe that we are even farther apart than ever before.
The President weighing in on cases like the Martin/Zimmerman situation and the Brown/Ferguson PD situation did not help. I would much rather have seen him work to defuse the situations than inflame them.

Isn't the murder and mayhem in Detroit and other big cities, "hateful" enough to suggest maybe there is a lot more federal killing that needs to be done? He hardly accomplished the murder number that occurs in a weekend in Detroit or Chicago.

The left likes to point out that murder RATE in Chicago is no worse than Monroe, Georgia or some other small town. Of course, the number of murders in Monroe is one in the last couple years and the number of murders in Chicago is double digits for this month but they love that numbers game.

Obama's presidency exposed what was already there. He didn't make it worse. People didn't become supporters of banning Muslims from the US because Obama was president. They didn't decide to support for a racist like Trump because of Obama. They already were; they just didn't really need to voice it out until a black guy was in the WH.

You call Donald J Trump a racist. It's a myth commonly spread by the left but the thing about it is that he has a proven track record of working with all races in projects. No one can demonstrate that he pays one race less than another or that he pays females less than males. The word racist has become so overused by the left, it really has no meaning any longer.
