Got a gym in my home and use it every day. And your triathlete can still develop health issues. Don't kid yourself. DNA has a lot to do with it.
I do need healthcare for my family. And with our plan, we have access to specialists within our hospital that don't charge us what a typical patient would see. In fact, much of it is included. It's awesome.
This is going to be a top 2% type of service though. Most folks will see their care decline while their taxes skyrocket.
Do you only have this 5000 dollar a year plan or some type of high deductible insurance policy as well? If you don't have insurance as well, you will end up on Medicaid should God forbid one of you get cancer.
Diet, exercise and lifestyle in general is far more important in terms of your health than how expensive your doctor is and that is regardless of your genetics. For example, heart disease, cancer, and type 2 diabetes all run in my family. I am a month shy of 40, and I have maintained a strict whole foods diet that is rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and cold water fishes for most of my adult life. I strength train regularly, run 40 miles a week on average, and ride anywhere from 50 to 100 miles a week depending on what I am training for. I have also never smoked and don't drink much. So despite my genetics my health assessments show the following:
Average BP: 110/67
Resting Heart Rate: Low 40s. (the level of a college athlete)
Maximum Heart Rate: Over 200 BPM (the level of a college athlete)
Body Fat Percentage: Between 6 and 10% depending on what I am training for - I have 6 pack abs.
Calcium Score: 0 - I have absolutely no evidence of any arterial sclerosis at all.
Average Non Fasting Blood Glucose: 80 mg/dL
That is all despite the fact that I am Hypothyroid.
So despite being a month away from 40, I have the health of a fit 20 year old. You can spend 10,000 dollars a year on a GP and you can't buy that health. Health and well being is something you cannot buy, you must do it yourself. This is why no healthcare plan government or not will fix our healthcare system because we have the most expensive doctors and drugs in the world and we have a population the majority of whom do not eat right and exercise sufficiently but think that healthcare and a bunch of testing and drugs will be a panacea for that.
