But that is the point, I can verify the facts of my sources, the source you provided is shown to be incorrect or the claims unsubstantiated. What is worse, on every point argued, you change the debate to another topic or point when we get close to a truth. For your new claim of brainwashing to hold, you have to show that what we hold as true is false.

I would imagine there are some that distort or revise history, as there must be thousands of books just on Lincoln alone...... Makes it tuff to sell those books:roll:

There are several things, such as slavery that is pretty black & white-had the south been successful in their rebellion against the United States of America, slavery would have continued...........

Slavery was already on the way out in the rest of the world but they wanted to resist that............. So flush w/ a victorious rebellion they were gonna shortly thereafter do away w/ one of the, if not the biggest aspects of their treason??:roll: Plez...:3oops:

First of all the South did no more commit "treason" than the Founding Fathers did. Second slavery was on its way out. Machines were being invented to make farming a LOT easier and eliminate the need for human labor. IMHO they committed treason...... As far the founding fathers?? I will be happy to discuss my opinions on that in a thread dedicated to it, if there so happens to be one.:cool:

SO there is no dispute regarding the continuation, merely when it would end........

So you can add a bunch of "if's" to the conversation if it makes you feel better about your perspective but keep in mind that to this very day their are men, women & children stooped over in the fields...... TO THIS VERY DAY...

During jim crow there where chain gangs & roundups when crops were ready to harvest & not many men were willing to give up their "property" for nothin, especially if they could find some use for them..........

Sadly what you have been taught is from the yankee view, and frankly people are getting sick and tired of the attacks on the Confederacy. In fact just today in my town and the next town over from mine there were Confederate parades with the flag flying high
