Video Shows Man Getting Punched by Cop After Resisting Arrest in Harlem

Posted here, but reposted to Mainstream Media Forum. Please post replies here.. Sorry, and thanks.

Well, the cop should have paid attention to the guy! The guy kept on saying "You're not arresting me!" and his buddy kept yelling "This is bull****!" so that should be more than enough proof to the cop that nothing was going on and that he had no right to accost this fine young man. Maybe some day the Supreme Court will take a long, hard look at these assaults and settle once and for all that anyone walking down the street knows more about the law than any group of cops possibly can and that cops need to pay attention when people tell them something.

Jeez talk about restraint.

I'm the first to criticize the police when they get excessive - this guy was remarkably restrained to the point that he allowed himself to get into a boxing match with the guy.

I want to punch people when they resist being thrown in my cage when I enforce a rule that I can't prove anyone agreed to follow. That's my dream.

Thanks for reposting and sorry for the error. This probably could have been handled better (I'm thinking the plainclothes officers could have just followed him until the backup arrived), but, yes, when a cop tells you to do something you should probably do it.

Why? If you ask me law enforcement is just carrying out rules I never agreed to follow.

Why follow the idiot? To have sufficient non-lethal force to subdue him without engaging in a fistfight on the street where you put lives in danger. What if the guy had grabbed the cop's gun, for example?

I don't give a **** about the cop. What part of no one consented to the laws he is enforcing did you miss?

So if you don't like it when a cop asks to frisk you because he tells you he thought you had a knife you're supposed to curse at him, try to walk away, engage in a fist fight with him, and have your cheering section taunt him with a cellphone camera?

I don't care. He damn well knows no one in existence consented to him enforcing anything. Your question is like asking me if I care if someone stabbed highwaymen. No, no I don't.

You missed the part where Henrin does not agree with any law to which he hasn't given his consent.

Give 'em hell, brother!! We all have the right to ignore laws we don't consent to!

I think it's awesome that the cop punched that moron. It's sad though that a cop can't do anything but fistfight anymore to subdue a criminal. But yeah, glad to see him repeatedly punching that dude in the face, someone has to discipline him since his parents obviously never did.

I don't see where you get the right to force your laws on me against my consent. When your explaining that maybe you can explain to me where you get the right to assault me, throw me in a cage, do a ****ty job of keeping me safe from bubba and prison guards, and treat me like your slave for however long you decide to keep me there.

I'll wait.

And that's why people end up getting tased, maced, and shot. To quote Joshua Harris, "The right thing at the wrong time is the wrong thing.” Presumably, you do care about getting dead, don't you?

If you want to throw me in that hell I will attempt to kill you. Your only choices are to either subdue me or kill me because I sure as hell am not going freely.

"I got everything on camera. I got everything on camera."

Yeah, dude...you do have everything on camera...and you just screwed your buddy.

LOL!!

The "sovereign citizen" is just another term for "anarchist". Society has a responsibility to establish and enforce certain rules for the purpose of maintaining order which protects and preserves the rights of all citizens. You certainly have the right to disagree with the rules and plead your case but if you are going to participate in the society then you also need to be held accountable to those rules.

Sounds like you have a death wish.

Kind of funny how that is just self serving nonsense. Most people these days support the idea that the government is the creator of rights, so if the government exists to protect rights then basically they exist for a reason they themselves made up. How is that not just talking in circles?

I'm trying to wrap my head around this.

Not much there to not understand. I was never consulted and thus was never given a chance to consent to anything. As it stands, I don't consent to most laws on the books, and I don't find it agreeable that the government can throw people in cages and make them their slave.
