At least 27 killed in Tunisian beach attack.

Some heartbreaking stories coming out of this oen and some lovely tributes.

Tunisia attack: Tributes for dead as British tourists fly home - BBC News

and this man is a legend, amazing.
Taking nothing away from this fine man but other men have done the same in these situations, several paying with their lives. It may have fallen out of fashion in some areas but, generally, that's what men do.

It is the non-men who get their power from shooting unarmed men or helpless women and children. These are the worst of God's creature and deserve to rot in Hell

Tunisia attack: Shot Pontypridd man in Sousse was 'human shield' - BBC News[/QUOTE]

Tunisian locals formed a human chain shield around one main hotel, refusing him entry, saving dozens of tourists' lives. Damn those unarmed Muslims!

Tunisia hotel attack: Locals form 'human shield' to protect hotel from gunman Seifeddine Rezgui - Africa - World - The Independent

News suggesting maybe 30 of the dead could be British. It's hard to establish identity from swimsuit wearers not carrying phones or ID. on their person.
Rumour has it they got his phone and found he sent a selfie to a Canadian number. Here's hoping Canada's finest are kicking that door down!

The US psyche here will conclude that if only the tourists had had their own personal assault weapons on the beach with them this might not have been so bad

And there is a flaw in their logic, yes?

My U.S. psyche says anyone who goes to a country like Tunisia now is nuts. The last thing I'd want to do on a vacation is see some guys on the beach holding AKs. I'd rather hit, say, the Caribbean instead.

The english psyche will roll on it's back and piss itself in submission begging to be spared. ;)

The Brits don’t beg, we ask you politely and if that doesn’t work, watch out, because we’ll call the police. Come on admit it, that frightened you, didn’t it!
I’m sorry to say, you’re right. :(

I go on holiday to the US often and am three times more likely to be killed there than in Tunisia. Does that make me crazy for still going to the US or you crazy for living there ?

So you agree with taking an assault weapon on holiday just in case ? The airlines might have some issues with that

what does your fear of guns have to do with this thread? but you are right, disarmed victims tend to be killed much easier

only if you go to inner cities and try to score a dime bag or a blow job.

Good heavens. Why?
I doubt anyone can blame this on US presence in the ME.
People tie ISIS to the US (well...lets be clear...to Bush) regardless of the fact that Islamic terrorists have been killing people for a century. Dont worry...this one will be no different.

I have a friend out there just now who is staying at the hotel next door. Whilst they were evacuated the locals systematically robbed their rooms including those of victims. She said the authorities had their hands full with the incident and could not assist them in the recovery of their belongings. Clearly the perps knew these Brits would be evacuated soon and that any investigation of the thefts would never happen once they were gone. Whilst I agree that some Tunisians helped out there were many who did the opposite. What a sad commentry on human nature :(

Im sure the rightwingers in this forum must be scratching their heads as to why these Muslims decide to protect foreign tourists when they could have just killed them with their bare hands eh?

So do you even take your gun to the beach ? Doesn't it make swimming more difficult when wearing it ?

Is it because you are uncomfortable when separated from your gun ? Are you afraid of it rusting ?

No, I get enough sun being a competitive shooter, elite coach and a tennis player.

The majority of people dying in the US from guns are gangsters shooting at each other, you aren't involved with them, hopefully...so no that fact is not true. You won't get anyone here killing you just because you are a brit.

Come on Rev, that's beneath you.

I know you sometimes pick a contrary line with some posters but there are British families out there who have refused to come back on early flights because they don't want the islamists and jihadis to win.

But just think you wouldn't have to worry about wearing budgie smugglers and would be protected from terrorists too. So you would in essence be killing two birds with one stone .... so to speak

I love the english, the comment was tongue in cheek, in a sorta mocking of the dumb comment presented.

Like I said, I know you and I know it was tongue in cheek. We butted heads often when I first joined and then I tuned in to you about 7-8 years ago.

That comment was a hard one when you think of what people went through on that beach.
