It's truly encouraging to know Bernie's message is reaching so many people. Maybe it's not too late for us to stop our overlords and their conservative minions.

Bernie Sanders packs thousands into a Denver gymnasium - The Washington Post

Bernie Sanders, who’s emerged as Hillary Rodham Clinton’s chief rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, drew an estimated crowd of more than 5,000 people to the University of Denver on Saturday night for what appeared to be one of the largest political rallies of the 2016 cycle. Sanders, the self-described democratic socialist senator from Vermont, delivered a fiery speech in a packed university gymnasium, where he decried the greed of the billionaire class, saying it is “destroying this nation.” Besides the more than 3,000 people in the gym, others listened in an adjacent atrium, where speakers were set up, and on a nearby lacrosse field, where the speech was streamed on the scoreboard, according to university officials and campaign aides.

Yeah, look at all of those oppressed people in the Scandinavian countries.

I thought you said Sanders was in Denver, not Scandinavia.

Sanders wants the United States to emulate the Scandinavian countries. If we want to see what his world looks like we need only look at those countries.

Great to hear. And I bet nearly every one of those people is like myself - a person who campaigned for Obama in 08 and was led to believe he would be the second coming of FDR. Instead we got the second coming of Jimmy Carter.

C'mon, I was just pulling your chain.

**shrugs*** you allowed yourselves to be duped. There were lots of warnings prior to his election. Though Hillary would have been much worse.

Sanders world is one of tyrtany

I have not followed Bernie Sanders too long, but what he has to say resonates with a significant number in the middle class and minorities. I love his stance on climate change especially. I hope I have not misunderstood your post. Are you saying Sanders' ideology advocates a world of "tyranny"? Or he sees Republican's objection to his ideals one of ruthlessness? "Tyranny" means despotism, absolute power, dictatorship, cruelty, brutality, and etc etc. Senator Sanders is a decent human being and politician. Unfortunately, his brand of liberalism is not exactly mainstream and I do not believe he will get the nomination in this lifetime. He is, however, a wakeup call, the person alerting others to future dangers and approaching problems unless change is made. Would you be so gracious as to clarify exactly what you do mean? I'm still a little foggy from a lack of sleep so bear with me. Thank you.

Progressivism has an end goal, what is that? No progressive ever answers that.

History does, it's one of government dictating our lives. It's one of elites dictating how we live, what cars to drive, what houses to live, what pay we "deserve".

He resonates because of the ignorance of the masses, the same fools that let Obama in the White House, that cheer for Hillary, that back "punishing the rich" as some sort of positive move for the country.

Perhaps you are correct. Regardless - its all water under the bridge and that was seven long years ago.

Yeah, look at all of those oppressed people in the Scandinavian countries.

Unfortunately, with the massive promotion of immigration, both legal, and especially illegal, the shared cultural objectives that make the Scandinavian (Nordic) Model work, have little chance in the US.

The slippery slope of unintended consequences has a significant presence in the liberal/progressive agenda.

Is that a "let's forget all of that and move on" statement?

I will say, I'm very very cautiously, skeptically intrigued by Sander's candidacy.

However, one thing I am absolutely certain of... If there is a Clinton or a Bush (and we have both) in the mix, there are high level games being played that have nothing to do with anything being sold to the public.

Progressivism has NO place in America.

Our Forefathers didn't make laws with progressive ideas.

Progressivism doesn't work. just look at what little progressivism applied by Obama as done to this country so far.

Do we have any choice but to move on?

Obama's healthcare solution was born in conservative think tanks. The progressive solution would have been universal healthcare.

Apparently so.

I don't think most conservatives know the difference. I'm pretty sure they believe all leftism eventually leads to communism, which is absolutely absurd. Their entire belief system is held up by buzzwords and nonsense rhetoric.

I've got news for ya, the wealth redistribution happened when the "rich" were allowed to game the system and bleed out the middle class. Executives making 200-400 times their average paycheck to paycheck employee, are not being punished to ask them to pay the same tax rate or more... It's a return to balance.

The wealthy stole it from the middle class through tax breaks unprecedented in U.S. history, driving free trade to outsource good jobs with good benefits to other countries, collapsing the economy and markets (more than once) with fraudulent investments and destroying middle class wealth and retirement while consolidating assets and buying up bankrupt assets...

And you want to cry victim because we want it back? Amazing

Please explain this to me. How does the existence of Warren Buffett or Bill Gates in any way inhibit your ability to live your life as you wish?
