Bernie Sanders packs thousands into a Denver gymnasium

"Tyranny" means despotism, absolute power, dictatorship, cruelty, brutality, and etc etc. Senator Sanders is a decent human being and politician.

I don't think it matters if he is a decent guy or not. When you start taking liberties from people and transferring more and more power and control to the government, you get tyranny, period.

It is a one way trip, very rare (if ever) for the government to give back liberties (without a violent revolution) after they have reached a certain point. When the government can no longer be controlled by the people they will just smash any opposition.

Sanders wants the United States to emulate the Scandinavian countries. If we want to see what his world looks like we need only look at those countries.

What's wrong with Scandanavia? They do a lot of things right compared to us.

The problem with 0bama trying to copy Europe's style of government is that it probably works ok in Europe because the population is much much smaller in those countries than the USA's, but that's just my opinion.

Is that better than handing over power to the rich and corporations? Heck, tyranny is already here!
Think about this. :doh

Which means absolutely diddly squat.

Which means absolutely diddly squat.

Everybody here gives their opinion, does that mean that their opinion means absolutely diddly squat?.

By the way.. it's not "diddly"

It's "piddly" ( look it up )

I recommend to brush up on your English a bit.

Thank you for your gratifying opinion, I loved it. God Bless. Holy crap!

I'm skeptical of the idea that the size of crowds at rallies are a decent way to measure support for a presidential candidate. What it does measure is the enthusiasm of the respective candidates' voting bases.

I agree.

While I'm sure they were able to round up "thousands" to come see him in Denver, he would have been hard pressed to get those numbers anywhere else...simply because Denver and the surrounding area is the biggest concentration of Democrats in the State.

And, like everywhere else, when it actually comes time for their primary those Democrats are going to vote for Hillary.

On the same weekend as Gay Pridefest.

If we are all being honest with ourselves/each other, then yes. Any opinions/thoughts/etc. on here mean pretty much nothing (same with most political forums, generally very little "education," happens as most are pretty convinced of their position well before posting).

Agreed, though a bit surprised how well he is being received but cautious til we start seeing more attention and money being dumped into the race. Always been my curiosity if he can cope with the money that will be thrown at Hilary and DNC reluctance towards Sanders (can't imagine the DNC likes him much, especially as a potential presidential candidate).

Not even close. We still have a chance here.

I think you should put down the Church of Reagan Bible and actually take the time to see what is really happening. If you think the middle class is doing well, you are seriously misguided.

diddly squat origin - Google Search

Well isn't this pie in your face, eh? I recommend that you know what you are talking about before you lecture and fall flat on your face.

I didn't say anything of the kind, so don't make like I did. I said we are still way better off than if we where in a tyrannical regime. Would you prefer that over what we have now? It seems like you do, from your response. Nazi Germany, the old Soviet Union? You think that is better? Go ahead, explain then.

Never been to Europe have you? Much higher population densities than the U.S. Germany alone has 83 million people and not as big as California in land area.

Diddly is used much more often than piddly. In fact I have never heard piddly used.

So you don't speak or write English on the big island?

Look it up!

I am very familiar with the word diddly, but in your case the use of piddly is more appropriate because is more descriptive. look it up.
