US leaves Europe wide open

You can't compare the two. The problem with infrastructure comes from political unwillingness to raise the gas taxes which is the primary funding mechanism for infrastructure, to a large extent too we overbuilt to a large degree . But it would be a mistake to cut military forces across the board to transfer the money to "infrastutcture" infrastructure has it's own funding mechanism.

Sorry buddy. Go to the link and look at the entire report card. Gas taxes have nothing to do with the nations drinking water supplies as noted, one example.

3.1 trillion is not required to build wells for drinking water

The vast majority of expenses listed in your sources were highways. Except for an article about broadband internet ( which is not a federal responsibility)

Discontinuing our economic war on them might be a good start. It earned us a good sucker punch from Japan once. But then that was the objective. And god knows the fringe right would love to take on Russia.

What do you mean they would love to take on Russia? It isn't as if they are actually going to enlist.

Well, I said the inferior drinking water was but one example. I don't know your profession, but do you really assert that you have a better handle on the state of affairs of the American infrastructure than the American Society of Civil Engineers?

And dude, there's sixteen categories on the ASCE report card! Only two of which might fall under the category of highways.

I thought all the necessary hardware were deployed in Europe long ago.

I hate such foreign policy. I won't be surprised if they'll invite more countries to NATO soon. I won't be surprised even on nuclear war.

There is no doubt that Russia is a threat. The only question is, what to do about it.

Any suggestions?

Start getting the international security thing out of the realm of nations and into the preserve of international Organization.

US is the youth of Europe and the east is not to be feared, never. At max it can clean Europe paunch, for good.
