Hillary Clinton’s campaign didn’t pick the best time to stage a major campaign rally at Four Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island later this month. According to the park’s website, a specially planned event for tots called Imagination Playground — which features unique blue building blocks — has been canceled to accommodate the Democratic front-runner for president.

...“We are not just a memorial and a park. We’re a thriving community of 14,000 people. It’s just tone-deaf to ignore that,” he added.

I see Hillary isn't exactly shattering her reputation as being cold and calculating.

Seriously, what is this woman thinking? I look forward to damage control.

Many parents, like myself, look forward and plan for free community events like this that are fun and engaging for children. Glad to see they are trying to reschedule but it would have been thoughtful to keep that event that's already scheduled and try another date or place that's open for campaigning.

 I do like the headline though. Gives for a good image.

Oh my god! They had to move playing with blocks to October! But they can play with blocks in July too, because the same event is happening then! More FAUX outrage!

Why won't Hillary think of the children. ;)

I do think it a bit rude to kick kids off the playground so one can do some political stumping.

Skilled politician, she isn't.
Tone deaf, she is.

I wonder why your initial thought isn't why can't Hillary change her schedule? I guess the machine has too much momentum eh?

Still, it goes to show how she's completely missing the "optics" of this. Does she really need this headline out there right now? Have you seen her polling numbers recently?

As do I. Not the end of the world but also not very nice. And "nice" already isn't a word I'd use to describe Hillary.

Hillary is a Republocrat. A party politicker. Status Quo supporter. No different than Bush or Obama.

I do think it a bit rude to kick kids off the playground so one can do some political stumping.

Same here. I don't understand why they need to close down a park for a weekend so a politician can beg for votes. But I don't know how anyone can act like this stuff is unique for Hillary or any other politician. And I think it's funny if anyone thinks that Hillary had anything to do with scheduling an event like this.

Because quite frankly I dont know, and I dont give a ****. I dont care that Hillary Clinton's campaign is holding it at a park and an event for children had to be rescheduled. I guarantee you **** like this happens all the time. I dont know the background or internal organizational aspects nor do I care. Its a park. Its a playground even which looks like ****ing large blocks. Moral of the story this is faux outrage. Does the media really have nothing else to complain about? I mean at least focus on ****ing issues that matter, not "oh look! Hillary Clinton made them reschedule an event!". Seriously?

Look at the posts in this thread, there are lots of non-conservatives who can plainly see that this is rude and inappropriate.

Its not false outrage, its a legitimate observation. Dismissing it as false is intellectually lazy.

Now, Ive already said its not the end of the world, but you should see its also very uncool, and politically unwise.

The media is just getting started, if you don't think this is fair game the next year and a half is going to frustrate you.

Not only rude, but just plain DUMB. Does she have Tweedle-Dee or Tweedle-Dum running her campaign?? Anyone with two connected brain cells would have taken this opportunity to not only NOT cause this event to be changed, but JOINED IT. Think of the great PR that could have come out of this with Hillary (and any other local Dem. politicians and their kids/grandkids) showing up to play with the kids, help publicize these events and give a kidcentric speech about how "they are the future and how we need to be investing in our kids and as President I will make it Top Ten focus of my administration". So easy, so obvious and so utterly and completely mis-handled.

Cool. Didnt say anything about partisanship now did I?

Its not "false outrage"? Really? Out of all the issues, you are worried about a non-issue, "imagination playground".....

Now, Ive already said its not the end of the world, but you should see its also very uncool, and politically unwise.
"Very uncool". Im sure this it at the top of the hits on Hillary Clinton... But then again most people dont go to tabloids to get legitimate political news.

The media is just getting started, if you don't think this is fair game the next year and a half is going to frustrate you.
:lamo Nor did I say its not fair game. Oh its fair game alright, and the anti-Clinton crowd is gonna eat the faux outrage up, kinda like the outrage over if Hillary tipped or not and if she did how much did she tip, that kinda outrage. The outrage only a select few will actually give a **** about, and the rest of the people will not give a ****. You can put me in the category of "i dont give a ****" and hell, I'm not even in the Hilary camp.

Its politically relevent, her poll numbers are sinking like a stone and this type of thing wont help.

It suggests her weakness as a candidate. In the mean time, another democrat candidate is talking about rape fantasies. What are dems thinking?

:doh You ****ing kidding me? This just shows your pure hackery.

I can tell social philosophy is not your strong suit.

You don't know what the word "faux" means, do you?

Not trying to intentionally be an outright asshole, but this "faux outrage" nonsense that people throw around just SMACKS of ignorance that could only be on a caliber synonymous with lingual ignorance, IMO of course.

Probably the fault of the event scheduler of the Four Freedoms Park more so than Hilary. They probably took it upon themselves to bump the kids to get Hilary to show up in their community. I seriously doubt she even knew. Can't even say if it's a bad thing as I suspect a lot of the community (parents of tots excepted) would rather listen to a presidential candidate than what was originally planned. I'm also sure if Hilary knew she was bumping kids that she's politically astute enough to not have booked there.

I can tell by Hillarys body language that she is a complete piece of ****. And she should not be at the forefront of America in any way. She has no empathy. She probably has a basement full of little arab boys that she snuffs once a day. Or maybe the kidnapped children of anyone that has offended her.

Ahahahaha! Are you insane? A high ranking noblewoman letting her kids play with the common people? That wold NEVER happen. We cant have defenders at our schools with guns yet all these politicians put their kids in private schools that are protected by guns. They really are another class of citizen in their own eyes.

It's much more likely that when Hillary found out about the kids she insisted that her event be given priority given her sense of entitlement.

I think Hillary should make "imagination playground" her campaign slogan.

She's not that politically naive.
