Can we please shut down the TSA? They're only providing the illusion of safety.

TSA failure: Investigators able to smuggle weapons past airport checks in 95 percent of tests - newsnet5.com Cleveland

An internal investigation of the Transportation Security Administration revealed security failures at dozens of the nation’s busiest airports, where undercover investigators were able to smuggle mock explosives or banned weapons through checkpoints in 95 percent of trials, ABC News learned exclusively. The series of tests were conducted by Homeland Security Red Teams who pose as passengers, setting out to beat the system. According to officials briefed on the results of a recent Homeland Security Inspector General’s report, TSA agents failed 67 out of 70 tests, with Red Team members repeatedly able to get potential weapons through checkpoints. In one test an undercover agent was stopped after setting off an alarm at a magnetometer, but TSA screeners failed to detect a fake explosive device that was taped to his back during a follow-on pat down.

I don't know nada about the illusion of safety, but the reality of maximum inconvenience is universal. Eliminate the TSA.

People who never fly are often the most inconvenienced by the TSA. I fly quite often, they don't bother me.

TSA agents were probably too busy groping kids and disabled grandmas

Unionised government workers who can almost never be fired, such outstanding conditions for best performance.

They've checked my package enough, and I fly as infrequently as possible.

Once I left an old army folding knife in my backpack, and it was only caught on trip home. TSA missed it at 2 airports. Had to leave it with them. They make quite a bit selling their forfeited items on ebay now.

They also treat my mom like a terrorist for having a hip implant. I love how we pretend we dont know that elderly women aren't a problem.
