ISIS controls half of Syrian territory, monitor says

It was.....but then BOs own Team have been telling him since 2013. Moreover the Shia Militias have declared us an Enemy, again.

American intelligence officials have assessed for some time that Iraq is unlikely ever again to function as the multi-ethnic nation-state it once was, and that any future political arrangement would have to grant significant local autonomy to the three main groups,_Sunnis, Shiites, and Kurds.

Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, an Iraq war veteran, cast doubt on the U.S. preference to deal only with the Shiite-dominated government in Baghdad, calling instead for directly arming both the Kurds in the north and Sunni tribes that have asked for help in beating back the Islamic State group.

"These Iraqi security forces have cut and run," Gabbard said. She criticized Baghdad's close links with Iran-backed Shiite militias that have declared themselves enemies of the United States....snip~

In the agreement Obama is attempting to negotiate with Iran, have any suggestions been made that it might be nice if they stopped funding the terrorists that hate us? Sheesh!

Nope Lady P......BO says that's a separate Issue with Iran. We be talking Nukes. Not funding terrorists.

No matter. They'd probably tell us no anyway!

The Civil War started over food riots, an out growth of the Arab Spring. Yes Qatar, and Iran et all kept it going as a proxy civil war
and I don't think the west meddling was a turning point, even if it was stupid.

The so called "Arab Spring", food riots, protests etc, were exploited by Western States as well as a few Arab States that have had regime change ambitions in Syria for a very long time.

Prolly not anymore then we've asked Saudi Arabia to stop funding terrorists that hate us. Hell, we can't even stop funding terrorists that hate us!!!

lol..they already deny it
Hezbollah are just a bunch of freedom fighters don't cha' know

Cute. I just tried to find a State Dept. link and I forgot that Obama took them off the list of state funded terrorism..
Obama is too much, like they aren't going to go after ISIL if we list them as such??

no doubt, Monte.... I just don't think western roles would have changed a lot of outcomes, although you never know..
Certainly Hillary's "Friends of Syria" junk policy didn't help, and did make it more difficult for Assad..

Well then the Sunni and Shia should have quit asking for business to be conducted with them.....also the Sunni and Shia, should have quit asking for help and making alliances. Should have quit asking for help with all they couldn't handle with each other. Should also quit asking for American Goods and products.

Then they should never have created any incidents with us. Since they can't handle each other. Then hoping our involvement we would be constrained by our own laws.

Note how all that begins with who the real problem is.....and who started it all. With their own words and actions. Which as a matter of fact they have done the same exact thing with any others they have communicated with. All by their own actions and words. That which is the sum of them.

That you can't place on any others.....but them.

I'm exhausted with arguing with you about this , but perhaps one more time. The Sunnis and Shia have been waring with each other since before George Washington gave his inaugural address. Since before the Mayflower landed at Plymouth Rock. Since before Christopher Columbus discovered America. Why snot nosed Americans think they can fix the perennial struggles of the Middle East is fantastic. Certainly for all of Americas efforts, regardless of the petty party finger pointing of blame that goes on endlessly, we have failed to produce any peace or happiness in the region whatsoever and have had a colossal destructive effect on it.

Agreed. If I say it another way, if perpetuation of the Assad government was an American foreign policy interest, Assad would have suppressed the uprising in its youth.

Yes you are exhausted arguing that the US is to blame for everything. Such weak sauce never gives one such as yourself any comfortability. As you aptly demonstrate.....the Arabs have been major **** ups since the beginning of time. Their Mouths.....their Actions. Their behaviors. You can't hide those facts.....they are responsible for their own ****. As well as who THEY INVOLVE!

Maybe now you can figure that part about.....we have never been there for their comfort nor their happiness. We can't make them accept peace. Except for one way. Which they wouldn't like that since that would leave them no tomorrow.

We can't stop them from being the major **** ups on the planet. We can't stop them from being inept, incompetent, and make them have some heart and courage.

But you can attempt to explain away all their weaknesses.....but you can't avoid whats theirs and where they are the cause and the blame.

How long to the Muslims there get sick of this kind of attack and actually kill off the scumbags?

Except that's not what I said. And you're constantly blaming America for what's wrong in the ME as well, with the exception that you let Bush off the hook for his failure.

Not at all.....I don't blame the US for everything and existing. That's you remember.....Even going back to our beginning you aptly point out how its just the Americans fault.

Oh and many have not given Bush Jr a pass. You just cant figure that **** out. While bringing that weakass left leaning ideology....that is about nothing. But being a sell out to the Country and to the countrymen.

Its why you never blame any others except the US.

More than likely you're an Arab with an axe to grind which is why you Never Admit to them being the **** ups on the planet that they are, and will always be.

Until someone finally says enough is enough, and puts an end to ALL the BS that make them what they are.

The situation for the Syrian civilians has been incredibly dire for 4 years.

An estimated 9 million Syrians have fled their homes since the outbreak of civil war in March 2011, taking refuge in neighbouring countries or within Syria itself. UNHCR estimate over 4 million have fled to Syria's immediate neighbours Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq. 7.6 million are internally displaced within Syria.

The sheer magnitude of the crisis is enormous and Syrians are now the largest refugee population in the world. Just a terrible situation.

You'll never put an end to Muslim extremism by creating conditions that they are the beneficiaries of. And yes, I know that more and more, one time supporters of Bush's Iraq policy are falling off that wagon, though you're not one.

That's because I am not a supporter of his.....could be why I didn't vote for him. Ever! But then you never knew what you was talking about when trying to take calls from the Ouiji board.

Again how many times do I need to tell you lefties about trying to use crystal balls or Ouiji Boards. They really don't help your game much. Nor does it make any of you smarter.

^ U.S. Omits Iran and Hezbollah From Terror Threat List

------------------------

Obama was only guilty of getting in step with the rest of the planet by dropping Hezbollah from the "Terrorist" list

Only the Governments of 3 countries consider Hezbollah a "Terrorist" group. It was formed in 1982 as a Defensive organization against Israel's bloody 1982 invasion of Lebanon. It has since acted as a DEFENSIVE force agains subsequent Israeli "Land Grabs" & invasions. Hezbollah is currently fighting ISIS which Israel, Turkey, Saudi Arabia support

Hezbollah is known around the world primarily as a Political Party & for its humanitarian works to Regional victims of Israel's repeated forays into S. Lebanon in which thousands of civilians are killed, homes, hospitals, schools, power plants are targeted & destroyed by IDF illegally deploying white phosphorus ordnance & cluster bombs whose bombletts continued to kill & maim Lebanese farmers & children years after:

“IDF commander: We fired more than a million cluster bombs in Lebanon”
“Phosphorous and cluster bombs heavily used; unexploded munitions litter wide area of Lebanon.”
http://www.haaretz.com/news/idf-com...n-a-million-cluster-bombs-in-lebanon-1.197099

EXCERPT "What we did was insane and monstrous, we covered entire towns in cluster bombs," the head of an IDF rocket unit in Lebanon said regarding the use of cluster bombs and phosphorous shells during the war."CONTINUED

What homeless wounded & traumatized Regional civilians saw & remember is that Hezbollah construction crews, bomb disposal units, Medics showed up immediately after routing their ruthless tormentors. For them, Hezbollah is responsible for everything from collecting garbage to running power plants.

If you were familiar with the global perception of Hezbollah or ever been to or lived in the Region, you'd spare us the smug "eye roll".

Currently, Hezbollah is among those doing the "Heavy Lifting" in the Fight against ISIS....

Meanwhile, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey & others are supporting ISIS

Zionists & Israelis have coveted the Litani River basin for its water supply since 1905 just as the Litani is considered the Northernmost border of "Greater Israel"

"THE FACTS RE: I.C.E. Case Study #14"

ICE Cases: Litani River Dispute
EXCERPT "Israel seemingly is tempted to reach beyond its border to get access to the needed water. "Almost half of the water currently used in Israel is captured, diverted or preempted from its neighbors."(10)
Israel has considered diverting the Litani southward, first proposed in 1905
