Sen. Kristen Gillibrand announces bill to help adoptive LGBT parents

Who, Rod Serling?

If that's the 'rod' in HIS rod.

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

Biblical law is about as binding as Bird law.

Actual evidence, please, based on science rather than bronze age superstition.

You guys ought to see if y'all can get a group rate on the train to Hell. ;)

You mean the other mythological place that doesn't exist?

From hack progressive " renewable energy " articles that are composed of a bunch of made up #s to a post on the low life trash that is Kirsten Gillibrand.

You're on a roll.

She stood behind the Rolling stone's attempt to attack a bunch of innocents students via a false rape allegation.

Even after it was exposed that the girl LIED Gillibrand expressed that it was important not to attack the " victim ".

Shes as bad as it gets when it comes to corrupt Politicians who are blinded by their ideology

TRANSLATION: I can't slam this particular bill because it makes too much sense. But since I hate liberals in general and liberal Senators in particular, I won't miss an opportunity to bad-mouth liberals -- even if there is no substance to the criticism.

Anything? Then you oppose this bill, which makes much sense.

Given that I believe M/M and W/W is sinful.....you tell me.

I'd rather you tell me. I don't want to make assumptions about your view which is why I asked. M/M and F/F is a sin to you but in your description having no parents is a sin as well. So do you think its more or less sinful to have gay parents or no parents at all?

You do realize that the foster care system is also a "government assisted program", right?

Absolutely. It's goes with my point. Why wouldn't a conservative support full LGBT adoption over relying on the foster program that much more?

How will they be at a disadvantage? What makes a mother and father situation more healthy than a situation with homosexual parents? Do you have a source to back up your claim?

That's a pretty well established fact, I'm not going to even bother arguing the point. Shall we also argue if 2+2=4 or not?

Sounds good to me. Is there a rational reason to not support this?

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/pol...-bill-adoptive-lgbt-parents-article-1.2225814

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand announced a bill Sunday that would remove legal barriers to adoption by lesbian, gay and transgender parents. Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) said she will introduce legislation this week that would prohibit discrimination against adoptive parents. The Every Child Deserves a Family Act would prohibit any entity that receives federal funds from discriminating against adoptive or foster parents based on sexual orientation, gender identity or marital status.

Perhaps the 10th Amendment. Not sure this qualifies as some federal issue. States can handle it. Support diversity.

Um what the hell do you know abut me?

Tim-

Only what you disclose on the Internet. Get off you high horse, it's not uncommon to reply to a post. If you don't understand how this works, sit back and pay better attention.

This is a concept that appears foreign to the OP.

No I said IMO it would be abusive to send them to a home of homosexuals or transgender parents. You assumed all the rest.

Why would you explain it? Its nobody else's business and nobody would know just out of the blue

Sorry I missed your reply.

There's this thing now days called social media where everyone knows everything about everyone else. Kids can be totally cruel.

Which is complete nonsense.

Then use discretion. Its not hard to do.

If they don't go to normal [every child needs a mother and father] people's homes, it should be classified as child abuse IMHO.

Have you adopted? We have, if you haven't adopted, then you don't know what you are talking about. Who are you to say what kind of family a child should have or not have. How callous and hateful of you.

Apparently discretion isn't popular.

Are you not to have any friends or neighbors?

Then it is not a matter of abuse, but a matter of maturity.

As far as friends with neighbors, no not really. I am either in my apartment, at work, or at my friend's or girlfriend's houses.

Need a tissue?

Are you a transgender or a homosexual? Or both?

We talking about the adopted children, not you.

I am married to a woman. The point is that a lot of bigots out there want to dictate to orphans what kind of a family they can and cannot have, but they don't step up and adopt themselves. It's not easy to adopt, you have to submit to various home studies where social workers make sure you have the kind of home, family, and parenting skills needed to adopt. There is also a large financial cost and commitment to adopting. If a same sex couple in a loving and stable home goes through the arduous process of adopting, then why should they not be able to do so, particularly when just 1 in 100 traditional families choose to do so. Moreover, many of the same sex couples I have know that adopted, chose to adopt special needs. There is an estimated 150 million orphan children worldwide. They want a loving and stable family. Why do you want to restrict what kind of loving and stable family they can have?

We talking about the adopted children, not you.

And this does not change my response, this is an issue of people's maturity and ability to accept life style differences.
