Texas: 9 Dead Bikers in Gun Shootout at Twin Peaks restaurant[W:33]

The Bandidos were fearsome even back in the '70's.

yup... no doubt about it... as a club, they do some damage... as individual bikers, they are of the usual sort....short on brains and fuses, long on brawn and tempers.

I hit a lot of rallys around Central Texas... and I get a lot of road time and attend a lot of Bike Nights at various bars.
...dealing with Banditos is just part of the landscape.... no one freaks out or anything.
play by their rules and it's all good... mess with them and you'll scrap with all of them.

Re: Texas: 9 Dead Bikers in Gun Shootout at Twin Peaks restaurant

Yes, Turtle, you're not telling us anything that Blacks don't already know. Now if you don't want to start exploring the institution of racism, and the root causes of the correlations between race and violence, then I suggest you get off this red herring. Now.

BTW. While we're talking about race. And since you were the one to bring it up. Where was the militarized police response to this shootout that left nine people dead? Where was the tear gas? The riot tanks? The infrasonic cannons? Where were they?

BTW.... I would wait for the results to come in as to how many of the dead bikers were killed by the cops before I would minimize the police response. Just sayin'.....

I pretty much just ignore them at places like strokers and the cottage

yeah...in my experience, most folks ignore them.... they're just part of the landscape.

I don't make it to the DFW area too much... if I'm riding, i'm looking for long empty roads, not crowded freeways

It took my friend about six and half hours coming up 35 from Austin to here Sunday. Not a fun drive or ride I'm sure. She have taken 183 instead

Not far from my rural road is what used to be a tiny grocery store with one fuel tank. It's become a biker bar, and sometimes I see at least 75 people standing around by their bikes in the parking lot. There's been a bit of stereotyping on this thread about "bikers," considering the people I know who ride.

As for the Bandidos, I've known only one. Knew him well in high school. Immensely wealthy--father owned a major insurance company in a major city--but determined to be bad. Went to prison at 19 and hooked up with the Bandidos there. I Googled him recently but found nothing and figure he's long-dead.

I'm been a "biker" since I was in high school. My pop was a biker before me (2nd generation Galloping Goose..quasi-1%er)
with 48 years on scooters, I know that stereotyping ...and the lifestyle...all too well.

in the summer of '67, I bought a '61 Duo-glide...the girls loved it... the school, not so much.
they barred me from parking on school property.... good time, good times:lol:

are you speaking of 183 from lampasis???because i always use that road,35 to austin from anywhere centex could take 45 minutes to all freaking day depending on traffic.

during rush hour just getting from georgetown to austin takes hours, most people round here simply take 183 from lampasis or shortcut it through florence rather than take 35.plus if its not rush hour traffic, there are always accidents between waco temple and austin slowing things down.

183 is a much better ride... 35 north(or south)is just horrible... goddamn death trap ,as far as i'm concerned.

I'm about 10 minutes off of 183, and i'll hit that ride to lampassas quite often ( though I prefer heading 29 out past Llano ,especially when the wildflowers bloom)

Good rules to follow.

I have chatted with Angels when there are only 1 or 2. No way do I approach them when in a group of 5 or more.

Just common sense.

I'm not sure if this was said yet, as I didn't want to thumb through some of the childish responses I saw before, but it looks like no bystanders or police were injured.

Sourcing from Reuters:

Bikers from five rival gangs attacked each other with guns, knives, brass knuckles, clubs and motorcycle chains at a Twin Peaks Sports Bar and Grill in the central Texas city of Waco. No bystanders or police were injured, police said

Re: Texas: 9 Dead Bikers in Gun Shootout at Twin Peaks restaurant

You truly have no idea what you're talking about, do you? "Black-on-black" violence is mentioned every single night on the news here and in most metropolitan areas. When black people "riot", it's covered nationwide far more than riots by white people (which are more common, by the way). It's amazing to me how you speak with such authority on a topic you know absolutely nothing about.

Please tell me the last time whites burnt down their neighborhoods and threw bottles and rocks at firefighters because they were trying to stop the flames of a burning building, since it's more common for whites to riot correct?

Correlating this tragic event towards the recent ferguson and Baltimore "take away more of our rights" demonstrations is probably one of the dumbest things anyone with a brain can suggest. Police were at the scene, were envolved in the shoutout, after it happened 200 people were arrested. That's the end of story. The reality is if people in waco started rioting because one of the bikers were shot by police that's when it turns into correlation.

Almost as dumb as the racist Michael brown killing black police lieutenant, or how racist the black mayor of Baltimore is for bringing in the national guard because she's racist

Re: Texas: 9 Dead Bikers in Gun Shootout at Twin Peaks restaurant

I'm interested in seeing who did the most killing. The bikers or the cops.

Re: Texas: 9 Dead Bikers in Gun Shootout at Twin Peaks restaurant

This is the product of southern culture, guns and gang banging. This sector of demographics doesn't understand the principles of personal responsibility. What kind of savages have a shootout in public where innocent bystanders could be injured? These people have no moral compass. They are the product of a failed right-wing society of lax gun laws, do as you please, if it feels good do it without any thought of the consequences. Luckily their hate and illicit behavior are contained to the filthy and corrupt conservative hellhole of Texas.

The motorcycle gangs of Texas (actually the Bandidos are an international gang with branches in Europe, South and Central America) can't hold a candle to the gang bangers of Detroit, Baltimore, Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, etc.. Gang murders and shootouts in those cities barely even make the news any more. Since the Waco fight three gang bangers have already been killed in Chicago, and that goes on all year.

Such events are notable for their rarity in Texas. In the blue cities they are so prevalent it's just business as usual and nobody pays any attention.

Re: Texas: 9 Dead Bikers in Gun Shootout at Twin Peaks restaurant

not per capita

black males are less than 7% of the population and commit more than HALF the murders

If I go to a WHITE doctor I know he didn't get into medical school due to his race

same with an ASIAN doctor. in fact an ASIAN doctor probably had to have even higher credentials since there are so many well qualified ASIAN applicants to medical school

My best friend's philosophy is to avoid white doctors in favor of Indian doctors because when they went to college they were most likely to go for the education over the binge drinking on daddy's dollar.

Re: Texas: 9 Dead Bikers in Gun Shootout at Twin Peaks restaurant

Old fat white biker gangs are ruining America...

Indian doctors trained there who come here are often top drawer. One of the kids I coached is the son of a gastroenterologist trained in India before coming here and doing additional residences and training.. The numbers of applicants to acceptances at the medical school he went to in India was brutal-tougher than Harvard's 4% acceptance rate

but lets get back to the Bikers. I don't see what Indian doctors have to do with bikers. I have never met a biker who was Indian

Fat Latino biker gangs are a product of white privilege...

Yeah that's probably true. Here in the MW I have seen AA bike gangs but almost all of the criminal activity tends to be white bikers-at least from the reports I have seen. Of course basic drug running, weapons violations etc doesn't get much press. its mainly when say the Iron Horsemen have their hangouts shot up by the Invaders and then retaliation follows that gets major press coverage

I don't recall black Bike gang vs Black bike gang or Black vs White bike gangs

The latino bike gangs tend to have some black members and such. They are much more mixed race but predominantly latino. There's this one biker gang that is known for kissing each other on the mouth as a greeting. Not sensually just as their bro-hug thing. They aren't gay so I can't help but think it's baiting for a fight just itching for someone to say something out loud so they can get their ass stomped into the ground.
