ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos

ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos got deeper in hot water Thursday with his network, which revised upward to $75,000 the amount of money he contributed to the Clinton Foundation without full disclosure to the network or viewers -- while he was covering Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign and foundation controversies.

Guess it slipped his mind. This jerk felt fine interviewing the author of "Clinton Cash", trying to smear and discredit him, as he himself is supporting the Clintons.

No integrity. What a hack.

I agree, it would have been wiser move to ensure the bosses at ABC knew about it (and I am sure not a one of them at ABC would have cared anyway.) Terrible decision making on his part to not ensure disclosure while he runs around talking poorly about his political opposition.

He gave to the Clinton Foundation because he cares deeply about the HIV issue. If there were any other organization in the world, I'm sure he would have donated to them instead. If only someone else cared as much as the Clinton Foundation.

Shame on you George, you shoulda dumped those dollars into superpac account.

GW Bush was the President with the greatest impact on the treatment of HIV and AIDS where it's at its worst in Africa and he continues to work in that field now, frequently going to Africa. I'm sure, Mr. Stephanopoulos could have found any number of charitable organizations working with HIV/AIDS issues but then only one charitable organization was headed by the man who gave him his career in politics and the media.

This also begs the question, are there any other prominent "journalists" that donate money to a politically affiliated organization? This guy was going to go ahead and moderate a some debates!

"I'm sorry. Truly. Let's move on. Next up is an interview with Trey Gowdy concerning Hillary Clinton's upcoming testimony..."

He could also have chosen one that gave more than 6% of the money for actual research as well. I find it very disappointing that Hillary supporters tout the benefits of this so called charity (slush fund) and yet think churches should be taxed. My church is topping 40% of all income to charitable causes, and it is mostly spent locally where we can see it. Maybe I should start up a charity that supports abortion and LGBT groups but only gives a small percentage of money to the actual cause. Then I could laugh at all the rubes who are funding my lifestyle even though I care very little for their pet projects. You know, like the Clintons. Bless their hearts....

Many "journalists" have said in the past that they support the Democrat Party and donate to them but that it doesn't cloud how they report the news. It's up to the viewer to determine whether that's believable or not.

I do not care as much about journalists and commentators donating money to political organizations, I care about them being honest about it when they turn around and go after opposition. As for the debates, it will be damn near impossible to find a completely neutral moderator. But, a little honesty in how they lean would be helpful.

"What? I'm straight down the middle in my reporting of the facts. Yes, I vote democrat, and I believe strongly in their principles and agenda. Doesn't affect my reporting or interrogatory efforts though. Let me ask you something. Do you watch Fox News? Ah. I thought so. Do you realize that over half of their reports are outright lies, and the rest are heavily slanted to the right? Yeah. We don't do that. We do try to offer a counter-point to their propaganda, and if that means presenting the left's version of things, why, I think that's only fair. So yes, we're right down the middle."

The bolded addressed in order:

And the guy he mentored is now heading up Hillary's current campaign. No conflict of interest whatsoever. :)

And he also lied when he initially said he had given $50k to the Clinton Foundation but it was then exposed that he had given $25k each year in 2012, 2013, and 2014. And it was because he was concerned about AIDS and global warming? I mean I may be getting old, but that should be a stretch for anybody to believe it is credible.

You should be concerned about who they donate to also. Nobody who has declared a side and has openly advocated for a side can claim credibility as objective or impartial in their political coverage as a member of the media.

For instance, here are the charities Bill O'Reilly contributes to.
Bill O'Reilly: Bill's Charities

What charities does George Stephanopolous contribute to? We know about one.

And one final shot across the bow here. . . .

The way ABC is handling this is, in my opinion, less than exemplary. Consider the way CBS handled the Dan Rather scandal--when it was obvious he had used dishonest evidence, Rather's career at CBS was over. NBC suspended Brian Williams for lying to his viewers and suspended Keith Olbermann for not disclosing a $2400 political donation. For ABC to defend Stephanopoulos does not speak well for their journalistic integrity.

This is where the tactics of the lefties really shines. We are expected to believe that he gave that money to the Clintons because he wanted to help with a couple of their causes. But if you were really interested in a charity and wanted to donate, wouldn't you look in to the pass thru rate of the charity? George is supposed to be an investigative journalist, don't you think he could have done that?

So he is either an idiot or he is lying about intent. Not likely he is really an idiot, more likely he wanted to contribute to their election and wanted to do it with plausible deniability. But the Hillary supporters will look past it. Hell she could walk in to the convention dragging a blood child by the hair and they wouldn't see it. Let's just define this honestly. He did it because he wanted the Clintons in office. It's the least he could do after that sweetheart real estate deal when he was working for them. If only Democrats were not required to be dishonest assholes....

And there you have it! The Clintons are.....and always have been.........CROOKS!

And little George is a lap dog for the Demo political machine. Super biased on everything he reports!

WASHPOST Wemple: Stephanopoulos interview of 'CASH' author Schweizer 'looks like activism'...

New York Times reporter Jeremy Peters and Washington Post Media Reporter Erik Wemple criticized ABC’s response to George Stephanopoulos’ undisclosed donations on Friday’s “Morning Joe” on MSNBC.

“I doubt that they’ve had a chance to do any degree of inquiry. Perhaps they asked George ‘did you do anything else, what other donations do you have? Look at your tax records, have you done anything else?’ And maybe he just told them, ‘no, this is it.’ But then that’s troublesome, because at first he said, ‘I’ve only done $50,000, now I’ve done $75,000.’ The story changed throughout the day, they had to amend their disclosure. Which was embarrassing, too, because at first it looked as though he had only given disclosures in 2013 and 2014, which is between the time that Hillary Clinton was — resigned from Secretary of State, and the time she declared her candidacy for president. … It was a lousy argument to begin with. But still, now that you go back to 2012, it’s even worse” Wemple stated.

Heh. That was good. See? It's just not that hard to be a successful liar in politics and "journalism". These days it's pretty much a requirement on the left, and they've studied exactly what they can get away with, and what they can't. Stuffitupyourass knows he can get away with this, just like Reid knew he could lie with impunity, admit it after the fact and laugh about it. It's all a giant **** You, and what are ya gonna do about it?

Um, are you being sarcastic here?

There are an awful lot of charitable organizations dedicated to fighting AIDS and assisting its victims. Even a cursory search turns up dozens and dozens of them. But I have yet to see the Clinton Foundation show up on a single on of those lists, not even as a distant also ran. . . .

San Francisco AIDS Foundation
Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC)
Desert AIDS Project
Cascade AIDS Project
AIDS Project Los Angeles
AIDS Foundation Houston
AIDS Emergency Fund
Elton John AIDS Foundation
Project Inform
Pangaea Global AIDS Foundation
Keep A Child Alive (formerly Children Affected by AIDS Foundation)
mothers2mothers
Global AIDS Interfaith Alliance
Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation
Black AIDS Institute
Bailey House
International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI)
amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research
Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center
Top 20 HIV/AIDS Charities of 2013

One or two different ones here:

But everyone knows that if you care deeply, I'm talking, like, really REALLY deeply about aids like ole' Georgie Boy does, then the Clinton Foundation is the only place you can donate your money. All of those places you guys listed are for suckers:lol:

And all of them operational long before the Clinton's set up there ...a.....Foundation to funnel money.

Ditto!
