He was awesome. Took my grandmother to see him at a casino in Shreveport ten years ago. She had put together a 3'x4' poster, sharply decorated with garland fringe confetti, and photos, past ticket stubs, commemorative articles etc., and had it perched on an easel in her Hotel room. A couple of room service staff had seen it and later on, upon delivering room service to his (King's) suite, they told him about it. They returned to my grandmothers room and told her that King wanted to see it! Of course she said, by all means. When they returned with it, it had his autograph across it, a ring, a watch and a guitar pick attached to it as well. He hated time, often had a watch or large clock near him on stage and would say, "they told me I need to stop at this time, but I feel like still playing, what do you all think"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
