ISIS activity prompts threat level increase at bases

Do I need to post video's of dems supporting intervention in Iraq?

If you like, they were all wrong. Don't see what that has to do with anything. Dude I voted for GWB twice. So I was wrong to.

Sure he did. See my sig :)

Yes, we all know he said that. We also all know it was a pipe dream. Well accept for the Obama apologists, and those who will cling to the death on the necessity of Bush's gratuitous war with Iraq to begin with.

I'm still waiting to see how murderous minded Muslims have personal responsibility for their behavior to try to kill those who offend them.

Its like the criminal arsonists and looters in Baltimore, "They're not thugs, they're just misguided."

Well, with respect to the Garland incident, those murderous minded Muslims have been held accountable, don't ya think?

Not everybody is a partisan twit. Some people actually can see that both parties support for that illegal war was wrong.

Yeah, Iraq was known for its peace and stability before 2003.

Yes, actually it was. With any comparison to post March of 2003. Unless you think that peace and stability is perfection, in which case I'd point you to America and OKC bombing, 9/11, the murder rate in Chicago, the Boston massacre, the ferguson and baltimore riots, the Garland Texas attack, the attack on Ft. Hood, Aurora Colorado, Columbine Colorado, Sandy Hook, Virginia Tech etc., etc., etc..

Take it seriously!

Oh, this is serious. When my cousin was Counsil General he was not allowed to go jogging without a police escort in the German woods, his house was bombed in an Arab country and another time he escaped an attack at the airport. So, if it is worse now....

Security measures has to be tip-top round the clock. We here are more vulnerable than you guys there.

ISIS only existed because there was a gap when obama and his fellow liberals pulled out of Iraq lol. No troops equals ISIS. Thanks Obama lol

Laugh out loud all you wish.

The U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq has increased the number of terrorist groups worldwide and "made the overall terrorism problem worse," a U.S. intelligence official said in a secret study.

The assessment of the war's impact on terrorism came in a National Intelligence Estimate that represents a consensus view of the 16 disparate spy services inside government, CBS News learned Sunday.

CBS News senior White House correspondent Bill Plante reports that the intelligence report contained some broad conclusions:

The U.S. presence in Iraq is providing new recruits for militant Islam.

The movement has spread and is now "self-generating."

The Islamic State grew out of the power vacuum created by the removal of Saddam Hussein.

The group originated as Jama'at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad in 1999, which pledged allegiance to al-Qaeda in 2004. The group participated in the Iraqi insurgency, which had followed the March 2003 invasion of Iraq. In January 2006, it joined other Sunni insurgent groups to form the Mujahideen Shura Council, which in October 2006 proclaimed the formation of the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI).

It doesn't matter what America did or did not do. Those Islamic countries hate the west because we support Israel and actually have a democrisy. And those terrorists hate us because were not Islamic or there brand of islam. Crazy people don't need a reason to be crazy. They'll find away themselves if need be

Check your spell check!! No, in very large part, Muslim countries hate the us for far more than supporting Israel. Thankfully that support is s-l-o-w-l-y waning. Wars, exploitation, hegemony, imperialism, regime change, staged coups, sanctions, there's just no end to the US interference in ME countries. And if you lived there, you'd hate America too. So, stop patronising America.

Yes thank God were getting away from Israel the only democracy in the region. The only place people of any faith can worship without being beheaded. Try going anywhere in Palestine and say that you've converted to Buddhism and see how long you live.

In a USA Today interview in 1997, Islamic radicals in Egypt expressed their views: “They cite figures on the divorce rate in the United States. They point to crime and drug use. They talk about America’s preoccupation with sex. ‘You will never find these things where true Islam exists,’ argues Ziad Ali, 34. ‘Islam is the only answer, not Christianity, not Judaism, not Buddha. Without it, America is going to hell.’ He points to a young Muslim woman . . . who is fully clothed from head to toe and even wearing gloves. . . . . ‘That is how a woman must dress, not the way they dress in America, in Britain,’ Ali says. ‘In America, your women dress like harlots. They have no dignity. We want to change that here in Egypt so our harlots don’t go to hell.’”
For Daniel Pipes, scholar and founder of the Middle East Forum (MEF), it boils down to one simple reason: Islamists hate America because “they believe Muslims should be in charge” and they, simply, “are not.”
The resentment, according to scholar, while most “acute” for fundamentalists is actually widespread even among Arab seculars.
Also Arab nationalism has “quickly morphed into an Islamist thing.”
“It’s the same hatred.”
“When something goes wrong it’s always – even when it comes to a secular Arab mentality – an Israel-U.S. ‘conspiracy.’”
Ibrahim, a Coptic Christian whose parents immigrated to the U.S. from Egypt, also explained that while not every secular Muslim in the Middle East will rise up in violence, they consider themselves above all to be Arab nationalists, thus will collectively turn a blind eye to the carnage being leveled by their more radical counterparts.

Not sure of your point.

ISIS took over a significant portion of Iraq when Obama lost the peace.

i was talking about an American in foreign countries.

There are tens of thousands of Americans here. Embassy, American club etc. and the people are all well protected here.

Why in the hell did you even quote me, if your going to ignore the data in it to perpetuate your failed conservative lies. There has been no peace, and no stability in Iraq since March of 2003. And as documented, the Islamic State was formed in Iraq during the middle of the decides second term, 2006. You just failed colossally.

Americans stationed over seas have generally been increasingly well protected since the 1970s, if I understand it correctly. Of course, instead of only having two local police officers in front of the resident's door, you can add two or three marines and harden various parts of the house. And, as I said, you can stop the target's jogging.

So few acknowledge consequences. Some ass wipe thinks the best way for her to exercise her freedom of speech is to draw disparaging cartoons of Mohamed, offend an entire religion, draw out the extremists, which prompts the feds to spend how much money increasing the alert level, while the freaks on the right pound their chests in support of her.

Ah, victim shaming I see.

No, see Obama said Iraq was peaceful and stable, and ISIS was the JV team.

He lost the peace for votes, and now we have ISIS attacks in the US.
