Kansas Governor Brownback Gets Note From Waitress: 'Tip the Schools,' Not Me - NBC News

When Brown finished his dinner Saturday night, Hough presented him with his credit card slip for $52.16 - with the tip line marked with a large "X" and handwritten instructions for the governor: "Tip the schools," reported KSNT, the NBC affiliate in Topeka.

"It was my last shift at the restaurant as I had quit so it worked out nicely," Hough told KSNT.

Hough posted a picture of the slip on her Facebook page with the caption "Mic Drop."

 Good for her, this country needs more people with moxie

Good news for all the customers at that restaurant. They can forget about leaving a tip when served by this waitress.

I guess Kathleen Sebelious should run for her old job again....

I can't believe he hasn't reversed course yet on the taxes issue in Kans

Not even Republicans in the Kansas Legislature blame Sebelius, you know because they control both chambers since... forever.....

smh... that's 2 people who can't read.
:lamo
And still, hopefully she gets fired for acting inappropriately towards a customer.
You do understand that her being fired would then be on her record and not simply self termination of her employment.

don't see what the big deal is.
non-issue.

except to show what a jerk she is.
and then posted it to facebook.

stupid people at it's finest.

I wouldn't hire her just like that women in that other thread that ranted at another company she had an interview with.

Yeah. One waitress gave up $10 to get to make a "cool" statement? Okay. I'm sure that Governor Brownback is definitely going to rethink Education Policy after that.

Only a right wing nutter would feel that a simple note advocating for better schools is "acting inappropriately". I have no doubt if she'd written something akin to "no tip need, Brownback rocks!" y'all would be posting it all over the place to show that the underpaid and underappreciated nonetheless love Brownback.

As usual, pathetic is your perspective.

Yeah, it takes millions of dollars from wealthy people to get a politician to change his policies.

No, that would be yours.

Only a hack would think what she did was appropriate.
It is inappropriate as it was not on her time.
It is inappropriate as it was done while an employee representing her employer on an Official receipt.
Funny that you do not realizes these things.

 seems to have worked for Hillary, certainly.
