Prisoner in van said Freddie Gray was ‘trying to injure himself,’ document [W:384]

Re: Prisoner in van said Freddie Gray was ‘trying to injure himself,’ document says

Around and around we go. Yay! :doh
This is again you ignoring that his words were quoted.

The only person ignoring Allen's quoted words is you.

"All I heard was a little banging for like four seconds."

You see, that is an actual quote. It's on video.

What you keep referencing is a statement written by an officer. That would be a second-hand source, not a quote.

Nope. That is you. His words were quoted.

And this is you again providing statements which lack credibility. :lamo

Quote them, then. Tell me, in his exact words, what Allen said to the police. Go ahead, quote him.

Where? You referenced an affidavit written by an officer.... not a direct quote from Allen.

The only quotes Allen provided - to anyone - say the opposite.

His words were quoted.

Quote them then. Jot some words down and put the little " " marks around them. Let's see the quoted words of Allen's.

You know, if you can.

What do you not understand about the fact that they were already quoted?

...a second-hand account is not a quote. Why can't you get that? Do you just not want to understand that, or are you unable?

His being the officer's. I agree. Thank you for finally admitting that.

Wrong.
"His" refers to the witness being discussed and contains quotations.

Can you provide a quotation of Allen's? Because all we have seen so far is an article referencing an affidavit. That would be a thirdhand report of a secondhand source.... Not a quote.

Do you understand what a quote is? It doesn't appear as though you do.

An affidavit written by a police officer was referenced.

Yeah, you must not know what a quote is. Let me help you.

A reference: Earlier today, Excon said he provided a quote, although none was found.

A quote: Earlier today, Excon said, "His words were quoted", in reference to Donta Allen. He said this several times, repeating "His words were quoted" over and over again.

Do you see the difference? One is a reference, and one is a direct quote.

You have stated several times that Allen was quoted. This quote has not been provided anywhere. A really good way to make me eat some crow would be to provide said quote.

Until then, keep showing everyone that you are wrong. This is entertaining for me.

There is no "quote" so don't expect that or honest intentions.

Prisoner in van said Freddie Gray was ‘trying to injure himself,’ document says

BALTIMORE — A prisoner sharing a police transport van with Freddie Gray told investigators that he could hear Gray “banging against the walls” of the vehicle and believed that he “was intentionally trying to injure himself,” according to a police document obtained by The Washington Post.

[...]
Prisoner in van said Freddie Gray was

Maybe folks were to quick to blame police.

Or maybe he just fell down when the police stuffed him into the back of the van without securing him? Because what this prisoner is saying is even worse than hearsay, because he is just assuming his way through this. He did not see what happened he just heard him slamming into the walls, how on earth could he say he was doing this intentionally to "injure himself". That is just stupid and has little or no evidence value IMHO.

I know that. You know that. Excon knows that. Everyone knows that. I do find it entertaining to watch someone struggle so hard though, especially since the concepts are so simple.

Are you able to provide the quote of Allen's or not? And by what forum sorcery are your quotes of me not winding up in my notifications?

The only thing dishonest is saying there is no quote.

Or maybe he just fell down when the police stuffed him into the back of the van without securing him?
When? No. It happened after he was able to turn around and hit himself on the rear of the van.
Neither was the other person seat-belted and he had no injury. Smooth ride.

Because what this prisoner is saying is even worse than hearsay, because he is just assuming his way through this.
:doh No it is not hearsay.
He can say what something sounded like to him.
What we haven't been given is the reason he thought that or is he was even asked why he thought that.

He did not see what happened he just heard him slamming into the walls, how on earth could he say he was doing this intentionally to "injure himself".
It is possible.
Why would you think a person who is cuffed with his hands behind his back with no room to actually kick (unless laying on their side on the bench) would be banging the only part of his body available for banging on a smooth ride? There are only a few explanations possible and they are all deliberate acts.

That is just stupid and has little or no evidence value IMHO.
Which of course is where you are wrong.

You are the only one struggling here with false assertions over and over again.
You were directed to the quotes. They are there and they are of his words.

The quotes was previously provided and you were directed to it.
Avail yourself of them.

So you're going to keep going with the non-quote quote nonsense.

Look, it would be super easy to shut me up here. All you have to do is provide Allen's own words (not a cop's words, but Allen's) that say he thinks Gray was trying to hurt himself.

You must either really like me and want to see more of me around, or you must like showing people that you simply don't care for definitions as the dictionary gives them.

And seriously, why do your quotes (and only your quotes) not notify me? What are you doing to make that happen? And why would you want that to happen?

Your failure to recognize he was quoted is your failure, not mine.

Where was he quoted?

And again, why are your quotes the only ones that don't notify me? What are you doing? And why would you not want to notify people when you quote them?
