I just watched the video. I got so caught up in this Obama said/didn't say nonsense that I completely forgot to watch the video that started it all. I'm not sure I see the video as evidence that his spine was broken but I do think that the cops should have almost immediately called an ambulance. If they made him ride like that in a paddy wagon, they really took that **** too far. They had the guy in cuffs. They saw he was in pain. They realized he couldn't walk and they can still be telling him to walk. I'm sure that the average police officer sees suspects who don't want to cooperate every day, but something should have tipped them off when they had to ****ing carry the guy and his legs never once resisted. That's cold ****, man.
I watched very closely, and from what I could see, Freddie wasn't moving his legs at all, some people will try to make an effort to walk along when being held by two, Freddie was dragging his legs, no movement. I'm not a doctor, but have known some people whose spinal injuries prevented them from even moving their legs slightly.
The other theory I have was that he was in so much pain, he passed out from it, he might have been unconscious when being hauled to the wagon.
As you said before, Baltimore cops have a long history of abuses.
I also wished that if Obama had something to say, he would say it better or more (in)differently.
