Apple fixes ‘homophobic’ Russian Siri: ‘This emotion should be considered negative’

Apple is refusing to elaborate on why it had to fix a Russian language version of Siri that avoided answering questions about gay issues or responded with hostility.
A Russian-speaking man named Alex uploaded a YouTube video on April 11 of the device in action.
In response to questions like “Are there any gay bars around me?” and “Is gay marriage normal?” the device either responded with silence, “You are so rude,” or “I believe this emotion should be considered negative.”

Twitter user Andrii Mandryk asked on Tuesday: “Is she homophobic?”

I can see it now. Pretty soon all development from these major players will have secondary resource libraries (tables and whatnot) that these apps will have to reference just to know what is politically correct based on the nation the phone happens to be in at that moment.

According to this Russian source, questions on the Russian version of Siri that include the words gay or lesbian now send the user to Google Search.

Lol. That's quite a fix there Apple.
