The lost tomb of Jesus? Scientist claims he has virtually unequivocal evidence[W:577]

Re: The lost tomb of Jesus? Scientist claims he has 'virtually unequivocal evidence'

The Catholic church was always against the peasants becoming too smart.

If the peasants are too smart, they can see through all the horsecrap that the Vatican has been stuffing down their throats for years.

It's very boring for those of us that do not live in the USA.

They have multiple US sub forums here where they can verbally flip the bird at each other about the miniscule differences between their parties yet many still just can't help themselves all the same

Add to the other "Failed 19th Century Ideas" -- Women's suffrage and end of racial discrimination(attempts to, anyway), Theory of Evolution, blood transfer, modern medicine, aviation, internal combustion engine --- screw it, too many to list.

Indeed

Black can be white and up can be down when it comes the alternative universe of religious fundamentalism

I believe he's talking about liberal ideas. Liberalism is not progress. It's regress. Like forcing people to buy insurance, wanting law abiding citizens to not have guns to protect themselves when criminals don't obey gun laws, being a total sissy when it comes to foreign policy on terror that you can't even say "Islamic" extremist, affirmative action which is racist, abortion which is murder, euthenasia which is the same, the list is too big...

There are a lot of threads there, none of which have anything to do with the topic of this thread.

affirmative action which is racist,

Another member that believes racism is noticing race. Such a myopic view must be intentional ignorance.

Just noticed the thread warning and that's probably not on topic. Be sure to read warnings.

Just like liberals to force people to not do something. Everyone posts different things on every post as topics expand to include different things. Tolitarian rules not only in liberal government but also in threads. Niiiice :)

DELETED my reply as it was not on topic

Re: The lost tomb of Jesus? Scientist claims he has 'virtually unequivocal evidence'

Progress is not what we're seeing in liberal America today. What we are seeing is record debt and failing municipalities (i.e. Detroit as an example), declining morality (more children born out of wedlock, gay marriage, fewer traditional marriages / families, shacking up, etc.), huge government programs that don't work worth a darn, a thoroughly corrupt and incompetent administration, an assault on Christianity and Christian values, racial divisions exacerbated, declining median income, etc., etc. And that's progress?

You pick and choose what liberal/progressive ideas you like... got it.

Right, because slavery was alright, women lacking the vote and other rights worked and denying blacks and other minority rights was so American...

Only middle class and higher White Men would argue as you did above...
