NJ Sen. Bob Menendez indicted on federal corruption charges

Much of what is listed on this page came about from the Patriot Act, which was a bi-partisan reaction and response to the 9/11 terrorist attack. Yes, it's still the government pushing it powers to the very limits, and some would say well beyond, the boundaries.



Pointing to bad behavior justifying other bad, and possibly worse behavior, isn't really a solid position to stand on.

If you ask me, none of it is acceptable, I'll grant you that.

Oh no, my pointing out that the Bush administration used its power to persecute political opponents is not offered up as an excuse for Obama to do the same. I want Menendez and any other crooks in the Obama administration prosecuted, convicted and punished. I just would like to have seen the same of the Bush administration. But partisans on both sides protect their own because sadly enough, most Americans put their party above their country. Like you just did, you went straight for defending the Bush administration, deflecting and diminishing his abuses. Just like lefty partisans are doing for the Obama administration.

Hard to disagree with this position, as it's very much my own. :peace

I expect better from my government and my leaders, I demand better from my government and my leaders. It's just too bad that I'm so often left disappointed, along with so very many others.

Of course, I expect more and better from my fellow citizens and fellow electorate members, and I'm often disappointed there as well. I guess life is little more than disappointment after disappointment on this front anyway.

I don't doubt that he is corrupt. i view the whole government as corrupt. i was referring to the fact that he is being indicted when so many "loyal" democrats have gotten away with corruption recently.
