mh 370?
I wasn't aware this was the case. Do you have a credible source or is this pure speculation?

Its on the front page of Thursdays New York Times. I doubt they are fibbing.
You can call it speculation I prefer to call it eliminating all other possibilities. Do you have another explanation?
Examples?
Have never heard of this before.
MH370 pilot switched off oxygen to kill himself, according to Kiwi Airlines boss | Daily Mail Online
'"We know what happened," David Learmount, safety editor at Flight Global, has said of MH370. "There's only one thing it can be - a deliberate act by someone on board, probably the captain."
But the idea is highly controversial.
"The pilot suicide theory for flight MH370 has gained traction because, throughout the last year, there's been no evidence of an outside plot," says aviation writer Sylvia Spruck Wrigley.'

Conjecture.
Nothing was found in the pilot's background that would lead to suicide.
You asked for examples...I gave you examples.
You don't believe them, I don't much care.
Low life scum bag...You want to kill yourself? Fine shoot your life at home, why the hell do you have to murder innocent people with you?
Burn in Hell.
Kind of jumping to conclusions aren't you?
Hell, I fly all the time, I'm on a business trip now, no worries here, I worked in the industry for a long time.
yeah either is a possibility
What would you do if the person flying the plane had a bad day and decided to dive the plane into the ground? Fill us in.
If the pilot did commit suicide then my post is valid, if not that is not.
Well, at least this time Lufthansa admitted it (not sure if they had much choice).
In the past in these pilot murder-suicides, the airline refuses to admit it even when the evidence was overwhelming.
I think what needs to change is obvious, there has to be an override of some kind so that either pilot has a way to gain access to the cockpit even if it is locked down.
Because clearly this 'don't leave a pilot alone in the cockpit' rule is not being followed.
Besides, if a female flight attendant replaces a pilot (assuming both pilots are male) when one leaves the cockpit, I cannot believe it would be overly difficult for an average-sized male remaining pilot to render an average-sized female FA 'disabled/unconscious' if he had planned taking the plane.
Jeez, it's simple (isn't it?)...just put a numeric keypad lock on the door and have the access code known only to the pilots so that neither could lock out the other but that no one else could gain unauthorized access.
Sure, if you want to give Al Qaeda a way in.
Back when I was in the industry, there was a way to get into the cockpit in an emergency, but I don't really want to say how, as it is a security issue.
