IIRC, Denmark has a very small military. Hopefully this sabre rattling inspires them to become part of the Nato missile shield, as a way to protect it from an aggressive Russia. Denmark is already a NATO member, and it also has territory in the Faroe islands and Greenland-both prime locations to interefere with Russia in the arctic.

The economy is good, stock market is flying, gas prices are low, I haven't heard of any American troops dying overseas in months. Something that was happening daily. I'm doing fine. We're doing a hell of alot better now than we were doing in 2008.

The economy sucks and the Stock market is being held up with QE qne and ZIRP.

Corporations and Banks don't " hoard " money when the economy is " good ".

And NO, we're not " all doing better " than we were doing in 2008.

I don't believe joko is any fan or defender of Putin or Russia. Contingencies exist for all sorts of eventualities. This was a strange comment to just throw out there to be sure, but nothing to get a panic on about.

I understand. However, I live in Texas and where I live is probably 85% Hispanic. Our culture here is a mix like it is most places. The Mexicans aren't nearly as scary as you right-wingers make them out to be.

The thing is that both USA and Russia is locked in the same stupid Cold War thinking. That before it was hey Soviet have 20 000 nuclear missiles then USA need to also have 20 000 missiles, even if it would be enough is USA hade hade a couple hundreds. Because even with a suprise atack enough missiles would have gone through to kill of most if not all the russians.

Today Russia believ hey if USA creates a defence shield the USA can use their nukes on us and we can't retaliate enough. Even if the defence shield would only shot a few of Russias thousands of the nuke. If USA would have been smart they should have presented the idea of a defence shield at the same time as they decided to decrease the numbers of the nukes. Their by decreasing the tension and the risk Russia decided to get more nukes. Because Russia have been unstable under the 90:s and can be that again, and when more nukes means more chance that some of them ends up in the wrong hand. Also having lots of nukes cost a lot of money and also risky if you see to all the accident. Ecpecially if it's not always the best suited people guarding them.

It means that some of Russia's nuclear missiles will now be targeted - IN WARTIME - to attack Danish ships that are part of the defense shield. Just as other non-Danish ships/radars weapon systems that are currently part of the defense shield are probably already targeted.

Your spin is ludicrous, they threatened nuclear war if Denmark entered the missile defense shield, he didn't say "ships that are part of the missile defense shield," he said "ships", and he didn't say "in wartime" either did he?

They didn't threaten to attack Denmark.

The guy threatened to add Danish ships to the list of targets DURING WARTIME.

HUGE difference.

I sincerely doubt Putin will act on anything he says in regard to nuclear weapons, but we'll have to wait and see.
