I wonder what the geniuses who think the Ayatollah is completely harmless, and one of the biggest state sponsors of terrorism in the world, said about OBL when he professed death to America.

The Ayatollah didn't say it? Its more like, how many times has he said it?

"They don't have the guts to do it, and they know it." Kind of says it all I think. Looks like they read Obama the same as everyone but America's socialists....

What I find frightening is that his criticisms of US actions in the middle east at the beginning have all been stated much the same way by the Obama supporters in this forum.

And in the end, we have to remember that "death to America" is like saying "hello"....it really doesn't mean anything....sure.

My source cites him as saying "yes, of course death to America".

The white house hasn't even disagreed with this...they just said it was meant for the Iranians. :doh

Just because its not in the LA times does not mean it didn't happen, so prove it.

Whether he said the exact words is irrelevant actually, another straw man by the left. If you listen all the way, he is inciting them to say it even saying "we should say 'death to America, no?"

Besides, the tone and tenor of the speech is clearly anti-American...and please, he isn't into political rhetoric; he considers himself the supreme ruler of Iran along with many of his die hards...

Your right-wing source is just BS.

I have trouble accepting that you believe that nonsense.

Yeah, he does sound like American leftists, just like Hugo Chavez did, Putin does, etc.

Its no coincidence.

Its pretty obvious Iranians hate America from the top man down. And that's a lot of people to hate America.

Nonsense:

But overall, the attitudes expressed about America were remarkably positive. “In science and technology the United States is best and no one can deny that, but culturally it’s so different us,” including on the concepts of heaven and hell, Hamed said. But he concluded that Americans “help people a lot so they can’t go to hell.”

We love Obama and your country,” another student shouted. Yet another added: “America is very very good.”

You on the right need to tear yourselves away from Fox News and get out of the house more often.

Right. Because it's inevitable, even though there's three Americans that are in denial. Say, are you a hand wringer over Iranian nukes. Or do you think that Jinping, Merkel, Putin, Hollande, Cameron and Obama will make sure that they never build one?

Nope, not a hand-wringer, but neither am I a credulous fool or someone who thinks that American security concerns should be outsourced.

Do you want to see the rest of Asia looking like that?

A better question might be how many Nations have nukes due to the handiwork of the USA and its MIC, as IKE would point out today if alive.

Any agreement is still subject to Congressional oversight.

It's clear to me that Congress has been kept in the loop, as per the McDonough letter to Sen. Corker.

It should be clear to you that the GOP Senate is pissing away a great opportunity to stay in power, even with Sen. Coats retiring today.

I miss the days when Senators like Lugar didn't pull this garbage when a DEM was POTUS .

I've just read the article. No revelations there. It says that the ayatollah said the "Death to America" rhetoric was justified. This has been reported elsewhere and repeated on this thread. Not sure what this is supposed to prove--who cares whether he said "Death to America" himself or said that others who said it were justified in doing so?

The article - refutes US Con's OP. There was - as always - much more to the story. That's the point.

Iran’s Supreme leader Ali Khamenei called for “Death to America” on Saturday, a day after President Barack Obama appealed to Iran to seize a “historic opportunity” for a nuclear deal and a better future, and as US Secretary of State John Kerry claimed substantial progress toward an accord.

Khamenei told a crowd in Tehran that Iran would not capitulate to Western demands. When the crowd started shouting, “Death to America,” the ayatollah responded: “Of course yes, death to America, because America is the original source of this pressure.

Your source is questionable at best.

I would ask you the same question.

Its not like the video hasn't been posted, guy.

I've seen the video and your OP is incorrect. It says
Iran’s Supreme leader Ali Khamenei called for “Death to America” on Saturday

and that is not true at all. The crowd was chanting that long before he said anything. The Times article tells the real story and I suggest you choose better sources to make a point.

Its pretty clear that the Supreme Leader of Iran was leading an anti-America rally there, as Obama's little treaty talks go on.

The best the Obama administration could manage as a reply was it was intended for domestic consumption-as if that makes it better.

And as if global news sources wouldn't, in 2015, pick up on it.

I don't wish to belabor the obvious, but North Korea is not Iran.
Why the double standard?

A bad joke versus a national death to America holiday.

So when one of ours threatens another country its a joke, when they do it, its Armageddon? :doh

No double standard; I'd think the fact that North Korea and Iran are different countries would be obvious.

You surely don't think the ayatollah was joking.

So why do we ignore North Korea's threats and get totally upset when Iran does it then?

You surely don't think the ayatollah was joking
I dont think McCain was joking either when he said that.
