Netanyahu poised for 3rd straight term Israel PM after rival concedes[W:350:384]

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

This one is more upset at his scraping the bottom of the racist barrel for votes with his last-minute ad, warning that "The Arabs are voting in droves". These are Israelis of Arab extraction, a fifth of the Israeli electorate, legally entitled to vote.
Can you imagine an American President warning that Black voters were voting in numbers? Or a European PM warneing "Quick, the Jews are all voting!" It's despicable.

I am betting that you were quite okay with the Democrats playing the race card in the lead up to the 2014 midterms with their phony claim that Voter ID bills disenfranchise minority and elderly voters.

What exactly was racist? Aren't both Israeli Jews and Arabs semites?

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

I was quoting your pal that suggested Israel stop launching its missiles, go back and check. I wasn't rooting for anybody.

No, sorry, never said that Israel was launching missiles but the other way around. Do you get any news where you live?

What he did was wrong clearly and a leader of a democratic nation should never go to these places and alienate a minority of his citizens from the rest of the nation, it's outrageous, but it wasn't racism that motivated him it was the fear that the Arab list - that the overwhelming majority of Israeli-Arab voters are voting for - will gain many more seats in the Knesset and since the head of that list promised to throw his support for Herzog, the rival of Netanyahu in the recent campaign, it would have led to an Herzog-led leftist government. So Netanyahu was simply engaging in logical elections rhetoric, not racism.

He's a Briton, I doubt he cares. But I don't speak for him

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

Thats right, even if its to the detriment of the US and world. :doh

How it all works out is meaningless to Hussein. Same with Obamacare....even those who got subsidies are now suffering buyers remorse at tax time.

Doesn't matter. He is commenting on the subject at hand.

I have a bridge for sale. Interested?

In the words of Winston Churchill: No.

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

I dont answer fake questions... especially when its a patten of avoidance to the subject...
I haven't avoided anything, I've directly responded to your relevant questions.
No. Obama sent one of his campaign staffers (I wonder who paid for it) to Israel to help defeat Bibi.
No, he didn't. Unless you are referring to a different story of which I'm unaware, A FORMER member of Obama's campaign team was hired by a group in Israel to help run a campaign.

I've never seen anything to suggest Obama sent anyone.

Who said anything about our tax dollars? And yes, I think someone who has an interest in making money would go somewhere where he/she could get paid to work.

you claim to be sly? so how would they get work EVER AGAIN if Obama "black balled them" for going against Obamas wants? it would be quite short sighted as we see how he treats Bibi

do you think Obama would have been fine with it if they went to WORK FOR BIBI with OUR TAX DOLLARS??? Obama was vested in defeating Bibi to give Bibis scalp to Iran as a "prize" for a fake Iran agreement,,,

You cant figure this out?... a child can see it..

President Obama's role during the Israeli elections was larger than reported, according to a pollster for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party.

"What was not well reported in the American media is that President Obama and his allies were playing in the election to defeat Prime Minister Netanyahu," John McLaughlin, a Republican strategist, said in an interview on John Catsimatidis's "The Cats Roundtable" radio show broadcast Sunday on AM 970 in New York.

"There was money moving that included taxpayer U.S. dollars, through non-profit organizations. And there were various liberal groups in the United States that were raising millions to fund a campaign called V15 against Prime Minister Netanyahu," McLaughlin said.

He noted an effort to oust Netanyahu was guided by former Obama political operative Jeremy Bird and that V15, or Victory 15, ads hurt Netanyahu in the polls. McLaughlin said the Israeli leader rebounded after delivering a speech to Congress early this month, prompting more critical ads.

I have absolutely no idea what you are trying to say. Who said Obama black balled them? I'm saying they are simply people who go where the money is. Obama isn't running any more campaigns, so they decided to go make money somewhere else. It has nothing to do with tax dollars or Obama

do you think Obama would have been fine with it if they went to WORK FOR BIBI with OUR TAX DOLLARS???
Again...where are you getting the idea that tax dollars had anything to do with it?

Your own article from your highly biased source directly refutes your premise:

V15 was viewed as part of a broader campaign to oust Netanyahu. The group was linked to Washington-based nonprofit OneVoice Movement, which reportedly received $350,000 in State Department grants. Money to OneVoice stopped flowing in November, officials said, before the Israeli elections.

After Netanyahu's win, V15 co-founder Nimrod Dweck said in an interview with Ronan Farrow aired on MSNBC's "Jose Diaz-Balart" that "not a single cent" of State Department or taxpayer money had gone to their campaign.

"These are false allegations and they have nothing to do with reality," Dweck said.

again..you say they went there for "the paying work"?? we know thats a lie, but if they did that and went against OBama's wants Obama would "black ball them" and they would never do work again for the Libs.. so it would be very short sighted..

what part are you not getting?...pretty easy to digest stuff..

Are you saying it's not okay for anyone to work a job unless it's okay with President Obama? These people who worked for campaigns against Netanyahu are no longer under the employ of President Obama and don't have to worry about being black balled by Obama since he is never running a campaign again. And as far as the tax money goes, your own source refuted the idea tax payer money was a part of it.

I'm sorry, but your argument just doesn't really hold any water.

Im saying they would never work anything that wasnt blessed by Obama period...

we both know that..

whats funny is how far you go out on ledge to proetect Obama... I see through slyness like a ninja..

Which doesn't make sense. Obama isn't running for office anymore, so why should they care what he wants? If those people wanted to campaign for the opposition to Netanyahu, and someone was willing to pay them good money, there's no reason for them to care what Obama wants.

I don't have to protect anyone. You're the one insistent on making it about Obama when it's not about Obama.

The White House was directly involved in an attempt to unseat Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in last week’s general election, during a nadir in ties between the Israeli leader and US President Barack Obama, a senior Jerusalem official said Tuesday.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told The Times of Israel that “it’s no secret” that the Obama administration had attempted to influence the outcome of the election, having been partially motivated by a desire for revenge over Netanyahu’s polarizing speech before Congress earlier this month, which sought to undermine the president’s key foreign policy initiative – a nuclear deal with Iran.
“The White House is driven by three main motives,” the senior official said. “The first is revenge [over the Congress speech]. The second is frustration: It’s no secret that they were

There's nothing not to get. The idea that people who no longer work for Obama only went someplace they were paid to go because of Obama is completely lacking in any real facts.
