Netanyahu poised for 3rd straight term Israel PM after rival concedes[W:350:384]

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

Looks like the lefts refrain that his speech to Congress would hurt him at home was diametrically opposed to the truth. Imagine that.

Yet another talking point for the moment......

Nothing this White House does is thought out....I again compare the atmosphere to "Odie" the stupid dog always running at catastrophe.

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

Mo'nin. I dont blame them one bit. Pissing on our closest allies is what Obama does. The chickens are coming home to roost.

Let's see who tops the list of America's best friends..

Canada? No ****ing way

France? Hardly

Britain? Maybe, if there's money in it

Ukraine? Ah.....no

Mexico? Probably as they get to export criminals and the poor.

I know, Libya! where Obama and Clinton changed a corrupt regime.

That leaves Saudi Arabia, Iran, and ISIS.

Since Obama gets his news not from advisors or credible sources but rather the media maybe the Netanyahu victory hasn't gotten to him. He has been very busy lately filling out his NCAA bracket and appearing on Jimmy Kimmel and ESPN. Such a busy job he has.

has he been near a tv?

That's where he learns ****.

Right, I can see him with Valery punching holes in the wall as the results came in. "****, ****, ****..." like a Seth Rogan character who has lost his stash

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

My thoughts on Israel's election are as follows:

1. Israel's people have voted. They voted in the fashion they felt best serves their needs and their country's needs. I, for one, respect that choice.

2. The U.S. and Israel have vast common interests and a deep enduring relationship. Whether the Zionist Union or Likud had prevailed and gained the opportunity to form the next government does not change any of this.

3. Given those shared interests, enduring relationship and, of course, my personal admiration for what Israel's people have accomplished in myriad fields and endeavors--often in the face of severe adversity--I continue to want Israel to be secure and prosperous. Those sentiments would not have changed had Israel chosen a new Prime Minister. They won't change when, at some point in time, Israel has a new Prime Minister.

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

Why should who gets elected in Israel be of any consequence whatsoever to Americans and why does it matter so much ?

The UK has an election in a couple of months and that won't generate a tenth of the posts Israels have even though nominally we are supposed to be your closest ally

Whats really going on here ?

In my opinion, it was this administration that thrust Netanyahu to such a big victory. Just days before the election a story broke about an annual report delivered recently to the US Senate by James Clapper, the director of National Intelligence, removing Iran and Hezbollah from its list of terrorism threats. try selling that one to the Saudi's the Jordanians, the Egyptians, the Yemenis, the Lebanese and the Israelis. The Israeli people certainly don't see it that way. So Netanyahu's message of national security trumped the Union Labor Party who focused on economics. After a report like that coming from this administration, it became obvious those running the show on foreign policy currently in the WH do not have their best interest at heart.

602 days till the next election..........God help us.

No need to call on the Man upstairs, Vee.

I remember Odie! At least he was likable, but the analogy fits.

This is leftism in practice, long after the rhetoric/theory.

Apparently some of this lesson has rubbed off on Americans, Im hopeful it sticks.

They have countdown clocks you can get off the web. It would be cool if you could add them in your signature line.

Yeah I was looking for that a while back lol. Its certainly counting down in my head.

Short sighted is an understatement.

I am hearing far too much "so what? What have they ever done for us?" in mentioning any disagreement. It is very stupid, even here where we love Americans there is a growing attitude of "OK, if they don't want CANADIAN oil on their land, we don't want THEIR oil on our land" a natural consequence of Obama's "**** 'em" strategy on Keystone. And that is playing very heavily in the oil patch in Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan where the reigning Conservatives will have to hold off a resurgent Liberal Party in a federal election as early as this spring, definitely this fall.

And you will need to know, all elections in Canada revolve around a certain level of anti-American politics.

And when I hear that kind of "they never did anything for us" backlash I recall 911 and the thousands of stranded American travelers who were given free room and board until American airspace was safe once again. I fear the day when terrorists again strike the US, and because of Obama's divisive politics the world reacts with "good luck with that....we never did anything you appreciated anyway"

Why is Obama or indeed any American remotely concerned with this ? Where are any US political ,military or economic interests served ?

Frankly I thought maybe Netanyahu wasn't going to win. But then the average Israeli probably looks at him differently.

It'll be interesting, I suppose. There will be no peace between Palestine and Israel with him in charge. He’s done the Hamas “We won’t recognize an independent State” route. So long as those two sides will not acknowledge the right to exist of the other, there will be no solution. So it just seems like more war for the foreseeable future. Glad nothing is changing in several decades. Oh wait…not really.

Having close and successful allies is hugely important, Obama has pissed them away for his personal political benefit-he simply does not care about the repercussions, he will be gone by that time after all. :doh

We spend a lot of money on Israel, and they tie us into war and intervention a lot. Normally we shouldn't have any real interest, but since we're so entangled with them and their policies, we do.

Honestly, we should just let them be. End all foreign aid to them, be on friendly terms but not let them dictate our actions in the ME.

You will have to ask Obama why he had to intervene.

The US has bankrolled this country for decades before Obama.

What it all for ?

Commitments made before BO was a gleam in his Fathers eye.....means what?

Good afternoon old chap. I do hope you are faring well.

Yes, they were commitments made prior, however, the fact of the matter is that while there is antagonism between Obama and Netanyahu on a personal level, the relationship between Israel and the US has not changed in the slightest. The US will still continue to give diplomatic, military, intelligence, and economic support to Israel. So, I don't get as to why so many people are saying that Obama has drastically changed the US relationship with Israel.

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

That was thrown in on the end last couple of days. SOP for the process....first he talked about all the European money that was put up against him then other outsides sources. Which he still covered BO peeps ass by not naming the US and their NGO's Actual headed name. With that little bit about "and other sources". So lets not forget that important additional info.

I see, that additional info excuses his lies, paranoia, fear mongering, racism and releases him from his commitment to a two state solution. Apparently enough, gullible or worse Israelis bought it.
