Netanyahu poised for 3rd straight term Israel PM after rival concedes[W:350:384]

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

The Ayatollah isn't a hardliner? That's what you're suggesting?

The article I linked to clearly shows that he supports the talks. Straight from his own mouth.

Yes, the Mullahs and the Ayatolla have been so trust worthy in the past.....Lol

Im sure thet would love to make a " deal " with Obama.

Back to the Op. Good job Netanyahu.

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

False. The Ayatollah is the Supreme Leader. He makes the decisions. Please do yourself a favor and learn about how the Iranian government works.

And he is a hardliner. So follow along if you can. If he doesn't want a deal, what happens?

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

Some of the reaction in this country led by the rhetoric of the current occupant in the WH shows just how anti Israel many in this country are. Israel is the best Ally the U.S. has in the Region and the country closest to being a democracy yet Obama and his Administration continue to show their incompetence as well as true colors.
If criticizing the Israeli leader makes one anti-Israel, does criticizing the American president make you anti-America?

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

If criticizing Israel makes one anti-Israel, does criticizing the American president make you un-American?

Wanting Israel to return to their pre-1967 borders is very Anti-Israel.

The same Ayatollah who called Israel a "rabid dog" and a "cancer"?

That means he's not a hardliner?

Here's something else straight from his mouth ...
Israel is a "... Zionist cancerous tumor"

Why would he not support talks that are giving him what he wants?
After all, Iran was just dropped from the Terrorist list.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand how that answers my question. I'll ask again:

Mr Invisible says that he's not a " hardliner ".

Of course not. I suppose his calls to "eliminate" Israel were just the musings of an old softie, too.

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

Netanyahu's opposition are just other political parties in Israel. I guarantee you that if you had a Labor government in Israel and a Republican President, that Republican would be trying to support Likud in any way he could.

You and I both know that in 2 years there will be a Republican President. As far as the relationship with Israel goes, Obama's a lame duck.

I believe a Republican President would support Israel regardless of who is President.

"It is the mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to erase Israel from the map of the region." - Ali Khamenei
"Israel Is A Hideous Entity In the Middle East Which Will Undoubtedly Be Annihilated." - Ali Khamenei

Bonus quote:
"The European races are barbaric. They wear freshly pressed suits and ties, and they smell of eau de cologne, but deep down, they still have the same barbaric nature known from history. They kill with ease. They murder people without any problem. Therefore, beating women in their homes is of no consequence to the [Europeans] and Americans, whereas in an Islamic environment, it is unimaginable." - Ali Khamenei

He seems like a nice guy :)

Yes & No in that order.

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

So you think that all Muslims are the same?

By that logic all Christians want to bomb abortion clinics.

Radical Islam wants Israel destroyed, you don't seem to understand the difference.

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

Yes & No in that order.
So are you saying being the Israeli PM is a position far more worthy of respect than the office of United States President?

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

You also ignore that under Obama we continued to give them $3 billion in military aid annually and with their most recent attack on Gaza, we also resupplied them as well. US support for Israel has not changed a bit, even if there is antagonism between Obama and Netanyahu.

Mornin Mr. I

Commitments made before BO was a gleam in his Fathers eye.....means what?

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

Yeah, he didn't support Netanyahu's reelection. I don't see what the big deal is.

You all like to crow about how Israel's a democracy, but apparently the fact that they have elections and opposition parties is news to you.

So you think it is appropriate for the Obama Administration to fund the opposition candidate in Israel?

You were talking about Country(s) now you're talking about respect for leaders.
Try to communicate your intentions more clearly.

Criticizing isn't the problem, ignoring an ally and friend of the U.S. is

NO.....I shed blood and pieces of myself for the Love of Country. When BO peep can do the same.....Then he can talk maybe, depends on what utters out his mouth.

It's the same thing. I'm just trying to figure out why you hold the position of Israeli PM to be beyond the ability of Americans to criticize, even as you routinely criticize the leader of the United States. Why is it not okay to criticize the leaders of Israel, but it is okay to spew venom towards our own President? Too many people show absolutely no respect for our leader, even as they castigate others for daring to show an ounce of disagreement with Israel's leader.

So why is being the PM of Israel so much better than being the President of the United States? Because, to me, it sounds pretty un-American to show far greater support to a foreign leader than to your own.

Israel receives incredible amounts of financial aid (~$3.15 billion annually) from the United States, with little or no strings attached. They aren't being ignored at all.

So I can only assume the problem is with the criticism of the leaders of Israel. So, once again, why is it not okay to criticize a foreign leader but okay to mock and ridicule our own President?
NO.....I shed blood and pieces of myself for the Love of Country. When BO peep can do the same.....Then he can talk maybe, depends on what utters out his mouth.
That doesn't make any sense. Could you, perhaps, try actually reading what I wrote before you respond? Thanks.

Yep TB. :2wave: The very same one that came up with a 9 step plan to get rid of Israel. Even tweeted that out with the new technology. Twitter.
