New York Times: Putin, Said to be Perfectly Healthy, Is Also Nowhere to be Seen

MOSCOW — Where’s Putin?

It was the question preoccupying Moscow and much of Russia on Friday, as speculation mounted about why President Vladimir V. Putin had not been seen in public since last week.

It's getting to be more and more like the Cold War again. Now we have to engage in guessing games about what is going on in the Kremlin. During the Cold War this was called "Kremlinology."

5 bucks says the arrogant prick got a face lift and is waiting for the bruises to heal.

Until we get past the stage of speculation, there is little to see here. We simply do not have all that much to go on.

UPDATE 2-Kremlin says Putin healthy, dismisses illness rumours | Reuters

(Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin is in good health, the Kremlin said on Thursday, dismissing rumours that the leader was suffering from an illness after a foreign trip was cancelled.

A Kazakh governmental source said Putin's trip to Astana scheduled for this week was cancelled because Putin had fallen ill, stirring speculation on social media that something had happened to the 62-year-old leader.

Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, asked by Reuters if the president was in good health, replied "yes".

"He has meetings all the time," he said by telephone. "He has meetings today, tomorrow. I don't know which ones we will make public."
