Obama says he learned of Clinton using private email through news reports

Obama says he learned of Clinton using private email through news reports | Fox News

“The same time everybody else learned it, through news reports,” Obama told CBS’ Bill Plante, in response to a question of when the president learned of Clinton’s use of a private email account for conducting government business.

OMG! Not this again! The dog ate my homework! What in God's name are we doing with this idiot in office? What a joke.

I fail to see the big deal about this thing.

Clinton has already said she has no problem letting the public read those emails. Also, Colin Powell as well as Jeb Bush used private email accounts and the war drums aren't sounding off over those people.

For the love of Pete. This is all we ever get out of DC anymore--grandstanding and bashing.

Nobody is buying it. Ofcourse Hillary is fine with releasing the sanitized emails already in possession of the state department. The embarrasing and troublesome emails are still in her personal email server or conveniently deleted.

The people who are not buying it are republicans.

No Obama fan here...

But if you honestly think that the President of the United States has the time to know of every minute detail of every single person on his staff's day to day activities, you are a ****ing moron.

I was waiting for this reply.

Got some news for you. If it's digital it's never gone.

One of the first things the IRS does is confiscate your computer and pull your hard drive if you are under investigation. Delete them all you want; that digital info is still there.

There are copies left on the server because we are talking digital. I don't care if Clinton deleted them off her computer or her phone, the investigators can still find them.

Do you have a tape recorder? If so, and you recorded a presentation on a tape to later on record a Rolling Stones song over your previous recording, your prsentation is still on that tape and it can be found--with a little work, but it's not impossible.

What you say reminds me of a story a lawyer told me regarding a thief who was acquitted by the court in a case involving the theft of lumber.

The judge asked the now free-to-go felon if there was anything he would like to say, he asked, "Does this mean I get to keep the wood?"

Obviously a crime has been committed breaking a law that was more than likely passed to catch Republicans. Now that we find a Democrat caught in the net, well, we need to assume that the law breaker was not actually evil and, in truth, we need to applaud her actions and endorse her goodness.

What a crock!

Both she and her boss are crooks and deserve a Watergate level whipping. The only reason she's getting away with this is that she knows where the bodies are buried and Obama has obviously, once again, instructed his attack dog, Holder, to selectively enforce the law in a way that rewards Obama supporters and penalizes his enemies.

We are living in a country that is no longer governed by the rule of law. It is only governed by authorities who judge innocence or guilt by one's positions either in support of or in opposition to El Presidente.

Seriously? Most people I know of get their news through newspapers or other media. I hope you don't think that anyone should know how many times a person has to go to the restroom do you?

Apparently, in the entire first term, he never read anything sent to him from his Secretary of State.

Does he think we are as stupid as the reporters in the Main Stream Media?

Out of curiosity, in your opinion, what part of the story is a political hatchet job?

What she did during the commission of the crime or the crimes she committed and is committing to cover up the crime?

Just wondering...

I don't see the comparison. What laws have Hillary Clinton or Colin Powell or Jeb Bush broken?

I receive upwards of 100 or so emails daily.

I notice whether the emails come from a phone or an email account.

Are you saying our president is such a witless idiot that he cannot see what the originating email address is on the emails he receives from his own staff?

At what point is the most basic adherence to the most basic law to be demanded of the liar in chief?

If you burned the tape, what then?

What if, after two years of covering her tracks, she did what was needed to be done to cover her tracks?

Tell me how she went about burning her own emails. Yes. Please do.

And this is all we get out of people that don't get teh real issue. Great, Some people before did, rules changed,

And she said they can have those SHE gives them. Since they were on HER server under HER control... you really don't have a problem with that?

Also, Obama knows everything, unless it's bad, then he learns about it in the papers.

What does she do about the emails she didn't have, but now they know she did have?

Why again did Colin Powell keep an Official Email for Conducting government Business and keep personal account?

I didn't know Clinton owned an internet service providing company. Which one does she own? :waiting:

What is your view of Obama's daily briefing?

Whenever any info that is sensitive is brought up, do they ask him to leave the room?

This would explain a great deal about his policies, words and actions, but it does not provide a wide base for confidence in his awareness of the world.

Heres the problem. Sure she is letting the public read the emails SHE has released. Are there emails that she hasn't released do you think? If so, what do they say? These are not private documents but public documents. Why do you suppose she set up her own private system rather than using the government system everyone else was using? Or don't you ask yourself those sorts of questions?
Also, Colin Powell as well as Jeb Bush used private email accounts and the war drums aren't sounding off over those people.
What were the circumstances and requirements during Colin Powells stint as Secretary of State? And in what ways are they similar/different than Clintons?

I don't see the comparison. What laws have Hillary Clinton or Colin Powell or Jeb Bush broken?

There is a law that specifically requires state department employees to only use the official email accounts of the state department for official communication.

Any digital info such as email is still on your computer or left on the server. All investigators need is a subpena and the ISP and they're reading emails--deleted or not.

Wow, you have no idea WTF is going on do?

On Wednesday, the Associated Press reported that the private email server installed at the Clintons' Chappaqua home was traced to a man named Eric Hoteham, though the AP could not find anyone with that name in public records or other online databases, according to Politico.

After some investigation, it was uncovered that an Eric Hothem was an aide to Hillary Clinton during her time as first lady.
