WASHINGTON -- (CNN) Hillary Clinton said late Wednesday night that she has asked the State Department to release emails she sent from the personal email address she used rather than the one provided by the agency.

"I want the public to see my email. I asked State to release them. They said they will review them for release as soon as possible," the former secretary of state said on her official Twitter account in a Tweet sent near midnight Wednesday.

WMAL : Where Washington Comes to Talk - WATCH: Hillary Clinton Tweets That She Wants Her Email Released To The Public

Hillary Clinton is simply not to be trusted or believed. Her history of lies, deceptions and amnesia are too long to trust her.

I suggest Hillary release all her emails from her server to the Benghazi Committee, and to the State Dept. Personal and otherwise. Everything. She skirted the system, she is untrustworthy... as far as I'm concerned that was the default SoS server... and the contents are our property.

... So... you don't want to see what's in the e-mails?

How is that any different from Iran saying that inspectors may have access to nuclear facilities A, B and C and must trust their word that they are the only one's that exist? It has been over two years since the Benghazi "video protest" attacks - why should we trust her (or her staff) to supply the full (unedited) set of her "personal" E-mails? On can zip anything to a back-up device and assert that it is a complete copy of all of their files.

So, first it was "release all the Emails!!!" and now she is it's "we don't trust you!" Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

So as you don't trust that her email collection consists of every email you'd like to see, what do you suggest?

Neat.

Too bad she only tuned 55,000 (hand selected) of them over to the State Department. The emails reside of her server.

She's putting the State Department under the gun here. Nice deflection, Secretary Clinton.

She hasn't said she's going to turn over her email collection. She gave the State Department permission to turn over the ones she gave to them. That isn't every email in her collection. Far from it, in fact.

Yeah, that's 100% correct. It needs to be revised to: 'Hillary Clinton want's to make public the emails she want's to make public' - so nothing that would make her look bad, and everything that would make her look good, so not an honest telling of what should be the government's records.

I guess the solution here is to subpena the entire collection of emails.

Wasn't it she that speculated in commodities once and only once and made $ 200.000, when her husband was Governor? That was one great tall tale that was.

By "collection" I meant all relevant, unedited and undeleted emails relevant to the topic. What do you suggest be done?

I suggest she release all of her emails if people are demanding them. Only she can authorize the release of all of her emails. The State Department can't release what they don't have.

She had a conduit/broker who made trades and bundled gains to her. I believe that guy did time.

And you trust her to do this?

All emails... everything.

That server was the defacto SoS server... and all contents are ours. She ****ed up badly... too bad.

Here I thought that was the whole point? Now it's changed cause she's cooperating?

She's not cooperating. This is The Clinton Crime family. It's a game.

She should turn over everything... all email accounts, all emails... everything. That is cooperation... anything short of it is not.

She had the dark server created... she skirted the system intentionally, knowingly and with the intent to deceive... now give us everything. It is our property.

And you trust her to do this?

No, I don't. I agree with what they were saying on MSNBC this morning. She parses words and she thinks the rules don't apply to her. But that doesn't mean she should be given a pass.

Apparently her boss' Administration kept telling her to stop using her personal email address. I also think she's incredibly foolish if she didn't know that she shouldn't be conducting business on behalf of the USA from a personal email account on her private server. In my company that's grounds for termination. Probably a lot of other companies as well. I can imagine that Obama is not very happy with her right now, nor should he be.

Didn't she really tweet "If you can find 'em you can have 'em?"

So as you don't trust that her email collection consists of every email you'd like to see, what do you suggest?

A deep, deep, deep anal probe for as long as it takes to get every scrap of crap.

It likely will take years, as Benghazi has illustrated.

Okay, so, again, what do you suggest be done?

And to think... this was discovered by a hacker. A hacker.

You don't think the Chinese and Russians, NK or others haven't penetrated her server or the accounts of others that have been in contact with her?

The Washington Post isn't on her side either:

Hillary Clinton’s tweet isn’t going to solve her e-mail problem. Not even close.

<snip>

Remember that the State Department doesn't HAVE all of Clinton's e-mails. They are held on her own private e-mail server. That's the problem. The 55,000 pages of e-mails she has turned over to State were selected by either Clinton or someone on her team.

Given that, a better tweet might have been: "I am going to turn over all of my e-mails -- as soon as I can." Putting the burden on State is sort of a red herring; this isn't really the State Department's fault. Clinton chose to exclusively use a private e-mail account against guidance from the Obama administration. Why she did so remains to be seen -- she hasn't said -- but because of that choice, it's incumbent upon her to make more e-mails available.

The way Clinton's tweet is phrased -- and, yes, I am parsing words here but the totality of what she has said on the matter amounts to 26 words -- suggests that she has asked State to release the contents of the 55,000 pages of e-mails she has turned over. Which is fine -- and better than nothing. But, again, those are the e-mails that Clintonworld decided should be turned over. That's not exactly the classic definition of transparency.

As Clinton tweets and her former top communications aide at State feuds with reporters, the political problems surrounding her e-mail practices continue to mount. A special House committee dedicated to investigating the attacks of Sept. 11, 2012, in Benghazi, Libya, issued subpoenas Wednesday in search of more information about the e-mail address. The Associated Press is weighing legal action over the long delays in response to Freedom of Information Act requests regarding the Clinton records at State.

And it's likely to get worse for Clinton before it gets better. Already, the way she handled her e-mail is being regarded as symbolic of a broader problem with her approach to public service. Here's the Washington Post editorial board Thursday in a piece titled "Hillary Clinton’s use of private e-mail reflects poor judgment":

Sounds like a pretty smart move by the Hillary camp to me.......

So, first it was "release all the Emails!!!" and now she is it's "we don't trust you!" Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Precisely why the rule/law required the use of a server controlled by a third party. If we could simply trust these folks then we would not need to see their Emails in the first place. ;)

I can't tell the government what to do?

I think she should make them public or understand that she has proven herself to be dishonest, and not complain when her opponents use this against her (and they will - on both sides).

If I were John Kerry, I would require that she turn all of her emails over, not just the ones she thinks are okay for their consumption.

In the meantime, she's getting hammered in the press by everyone, even the left leaning media (not the partisan idiots at Media Matters, but they go way back, so they aren't exactly impartial to her). And on boars ike this. And she deserves it. The rules do apply to her, whether she believes so or not.
