CPAC Attendees Plan To Walk Out On Jeb Bush

Hi Pol, he's one of many speakers at the convention. I don't think they're showing up just for the purpose of protesting him. I think they probably go to hear the other speakers.

Well now that everyone knows their plan, I wonder if they will follow through? Kinda looses its oomph at this point, don't you think?

What's with all the hate for Jeb Bush?

It doesn't seem to be hate so much as it does simple mistrust of someone with the last name of Bush. Many folks have been aware for years of the fundamental intellectual bankruptcy of our 2 party political system. It's a scam, and that's why the TP got started in the first place as I recall.

They don't hate Jeb, they simply disrespect him and intend to show it in public. I hope they follow through with their plans, but it probably is a bluff.

It is their right to do so, but walking out in protest isn't very respectful to a candidate. Let him give his speech and let him answer questions, as some are interested in what he has to say. It is not about them, it is about citizens interested in a potential GOP nominee. They are welcome to campaign and vote for some other guy. It is really that simple.
I am curious as to who their favorite candidate is. Walker?
Lets not forget, should Jeb be the GOP nominee, these same people will rally around him and against the DNC candidate, no questions asks.
To sum it up in a nutshell, grandstanding, nothing more

i think it is a wise response from the right wing of the GOP
he appears to be the default candidate if there is no obstruction to his nomination
by showing how much potential republican support would dissolve if he is their standard bearer - by the other attendees seeing a much less crowded room - would be a demonstration with visual impact
on the other hand, if the righties do not follow through, it will have the opposite effect of demonstrating that jeb is THE valid contender for the party

What's childish about people who attend not wanting to see a dynasty in this country and refusing to allow the establishment to select their candidate for them? Because that's what they're protesting.

I don't necessarily agree with them, but that hardly makes them childish.

Declaring you are going to have a big walk out is no different than "If I can't win, I am going to take my ball and go home."

i disagree
it's like a vote
only showing one is against something rather than for it
kind of like most voters each election cycle

He's not bat**** insane enough. They want someone who has no chance at the White House, like Ted Cruz or Mike Huckabee. Someone who is alienating to moderates and independents, gays, blacks, latinos, etc. They don't like winning national elections.

That should please you, no?

From Your source:
Tea Party activists like William Temple spent much of Thursday telling media organizations of his plan to organize a walk-out of Bush’s speech. “We’re not going to interrupt anyone’s speech, but we are all going to exercise our right to go to the bathroom at the same time,” Temple told the Washington Times.

My quote:
I heard one guy was planning to walk out and he was trying to find supporters.

No indication on who other people who are joining him might be...So still not sure where he or the sources are getting attendees plural?

Sorry, you asked Kitty for a source other than the Washington Times. That's why I posted that link (and copied your quote in there).

Temple is going to be there with others from his own (GA-based) Tea Party and is looking for more to join them.

an extremely peaceful and non-disruptive political protest?... sure, why not.....it's surely superior to the usual sorts of political protests we see.
