Activists report dozens of Assyrian Christans kidnapped by ISIS

Us and Israeli intelligence services say otherwise. What does some dude on the island of Crete, or floating on a dingy in the middle of the Mediterranean (or wherever this place between Athens and Jerusalem is) know about what's going on inside Iran, without being told by those who have been there keeping an eye, hmm? Listen to what's being said by people that actually know, and not what Allen Colmes or Michelle Malkin are saying.

They dont say otherwise-the question isn't if Iran is refining uranium for nukes-its simply when will they have them, and what are the most effective ways to prevent it.

And are you suggesting that my location is literal? Do you read?

No, I never assumed that you occupied a literal space. And stop being scared of something that hasn't even happened yet.

Below is an excerpt from the Atlantic article, What Does Isis Want?" and it suggests that they might turn the kidnapped Christians into slaves...

"...Exempted from automatic execution, it appears, are Christians who do not resist their new government. Baghdadi permits them to live, as long as they pay a special tax, known as the jizya, and acknowledge their subjugation. The Koranic authority for this practice is not in dispute....<snip>....

The Koran specifies crucifixion as one of the only punishments permitted for enemies of Islam. The tax on Christians finds clear endorsement in the Surah Al-Tawba, the Koran’s ninth chapter, which instructs Muslims to fight Christians and Jews “until they pay the jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.” The Prophet, whom all Muslims consider exemplary, imposed these rules and owned slaves....."

If al-Qaeda wanted to revive slavery, it never said so. And why would it? Silence on slavery probably reflected strategic thinking, with public sympathies in mind: when the Islamic State began enslaving people, even some of its supporters balked. Nonetheless, the caliphate has continued to embrace slavery and crucifixion without apology. “We will conquer your Rome, break your crosses, and enslave your women,” Adnani, the spokesman, promised in one of his periodic valentines to the West. “If we do not reach that time, then our children and grandchildren will reach it, and they will sell your sons as slaves at the slave market.”

In October, Dabiq, the magazine of the Islamic State, published “The Revival of Slavery Before the Hour,” an article that took up the question of whether Yazidis (the members of an ancient Kurdish sect that borrows elements of Islam, and had come under attack from Islamic State forces in northern Iraq) are lapsed Muslims, and therefore marked for death, or merely pagans and therefore fair game for enslavement. A study group of Islamic State scholars had convened, on government orders, to resolve this issue. If they are pagans, the article’s anonymous author wrote,

Yazidi women and children [are to be] divided according to the Shariah amongst the fighters of the Islamic State who participated in the Sinjar operations [in northern Iraq] … Enslaving the families of the kuffar [infidels] and taking their women as concubines is a firmly established aspect of the Shariah that if one were to deny or mock, he would be denying or mocking the verses of the Koran and the narrations of the Prophet … and thereby apostatizing from Islam.

What ISIS Really Wants - The Atlantic

I suspect the whole purpose of raiding the Christian villages was to get slaves for all those new jihadists flooding into Syria via Turkey...our ally.

What a wise statement. :doh

Do you wear a seatbelt?

Yeah that's the new fall back position.....try and paint people out like they are scared. Even ex military and Ops. Isn't that **** hilarious.

Heya Moot.

I think with the women they will keep them as slaves. 11 towns and some of these Christians were already paying their tax to these Wannabe Warriors of the Heretic Blend. The rest are fearing death.

Of course they want slaves-even child sex slaves. The younger the girl the higher the price.

What ISIS is-is an apocalyptic death cult. They actually believe (get this) that they will fight to jerusalem, where they will be nearly defeated-until Jesus appears to help win.

Jesus.

What a wise statement. :doh

Do you wear a seatbelt?

We're not buying your pre-emptiness on false accusations. Us and Israeli intelligence says Iran isn't building a nuclear weapon. Now then, stop lying, and bury your fear, it's unfounded!!!!!

More Jesus freaks!!

What you are really saying, is you are fine with Iranian nukes. There is no penalty to you or other lefties being wrong-but that standard isn't good enough for most Americans.

No, what I'm saying for the thirteenth time is that you are nobody and the US and Israeli intelligence services have declared that there is no Iranian nuclear weapons program. So, bury your **** in the compost pile, hear?

Like I said, your appeasement isn't good enough.

That's your refutation of both US and Israeli intelligence conclusions of Iran's nuclear program, haha. Well, thank goodness what's good enough for you, is not under consideration.
