CNN/ORC poll: Majority of Americans oppose Netanyahu invite [W:218, 239]

Re: CNN/ORC poll: Majority of Americans oppose Netanyahu invite [W:218]

In your mind, does diversity=not racist?

Pretty much....only about 50% of the Democratic party is white so it makes it pretty difficult to push a racist agenda if you barely have a majority.

I think it's a lot easier to only view things from the perspective of one race if your voter demographics are say...90% of one race like in the republican party

Re: CNN/ORC poll: Majority of Americans oppose Netanyahu invite [W:218]

But that does not mean that this is could be a purely promotional political decision on the side of Netanyahu for his own political campaign.

Bibi doesnt care.. he will run again like he has before it he loses.. but he will never not protect Israel

Re: CNN/ORC poll: Majority of Americans oppose Netanyahu invite [W:218]

So it is your opinion that we should use the very real threat against Israel as leverage ... against Israel? Do you realize how f-ed up that is to say about an Ally?

No I didn't say that at all. In this relationship, we're the daddy with the money and the keys to the car, and Bibi is the teenager. One of them can dictate terms to the other, and one of them cannot. It's that simple.

Hence the reason why Obama snubs Netanyahu and throws a hissy fit when he is coming to give a speech in the US... it's really hard to avoid Netanyahu's argument when the he won't respond to commands to shut up.

Sheesh, I've quoted the headlines on the day the invite was announced. It's clear Boehner at least intentionally snubbed Obama, and if Israel is stupid enough to let Boehner do that, they they can sleep in that bed they made.

Obama is the one picking a fight here. After bypassing Congress repeatedly with major policy changes he really looks like a petulant child by complaining that he wasn't given enough advanced notice for a Congressional speech.

I'll just point out that lots of Israelis disagree with you. I'll take their word over conservatives.

The dems have pushed for race-based quotas and affirmative action when they are the epitome of a racist agenda.
They would say its for a good reason, but its racist nevertheless.

Re: CNN/ORC poll: Majority of Americans oppose Netanyahu invite [W:218]

Facts dont lie. The democrat party has a shameful and racist history, and it continues on.

Good thing most of vote for members of the Democratic party.

Ok, but believing blacks and Jews and Hispanics etc. are so stupid they vote for racists isn't racist at all - you just think they're stupid and don't know which party best represents their interests?

Re: CNN/ORC poll: Majority of Americans oppose Netanyahu invite [W:218]

Yup. Why do you think minorities vote overwhelmingly Democratic?

for the money and hand outs.....there is no other reason.

free stuff..anyone who pays taxes would never vote Demokrat

I pay lots of taxes and vote for members of the Democratic party. I'm not aware of anyone in this "Demokrat" party. New one I guess that hasn't made it to Tennessee.

tell me what you know about Obamas time with Frank Marshal Davis and his time campaigning for Uncle Odinga for Sharia in Kenya...
also tell me the tennents of Black Liberation Theology that Obama belonged to..

now ask me if I think the media is liberal and why people voted with pure ignorance..

Re: CNN/ORC poll: Majority of Americans oppose Netanyahu invite [W:218]

Obama demeans the office.... a total scumbag he is..

Well, that might be your opinion, a lot of Americans also think the same of the previous presidency, the big difference is that Obama seems to have chosen to not cater to the needs of the few but tries (even if he might sometimes fail) to work for the needs of the many. Also, Obama is the president who is tough on terror (ask Osama about that, ooh wait, nobody can ;)) and has been moving US troops out of harm's way in very dangerous situations that a lot of Americans feel they should not have been involved in in the first place.

He is also a president who at least tries to do what he promises. Of the over 500 promises he made in the 2 presidential campaigns he was involved in he was able to keep that promise in 45% of the promises made, he needed to compromise in 24%, he broke his promise in 22%, 1% has stalled, 7% are in the works.

He also promised health care reform and he succeeded, many people might not be happy but it is not possible to please everybody and he seems to be working at solving some of the bigger issues in the US (immigration and terrorism). But in the highly divisive US political culture it will be decades before any president can be seen through a neutral point of view and not through very biased republican or democratic goggles.

Maybe he is not busy protecting Israel but damaging it. It is in everybody's interest to stop Iran from getting to a nuclear weapon. That is in the interest of Israel IMHO and his actions may not be that productive. You do not bite the hands that supports you like he does.

Affirmative Action are just a couple of executive orders (including a couple signed by Nixon). Any Republican President could overturn them but they haven't.

Sounds kind of racist. Blacks, Asians, and Hispanics just want free stuff. Those tax paying whites in the Republican party don't want handouts.

Re: CNN/ORC poll: Majority of Americans oppose Netanyahu invite [W:218]

Another OP via the media trying their damndest to make Netanyahu out to be irrelevant/the bad guy. The media has been playing this story up but they have totally failed.
It might surprise some of you that recent polls show the American people have a more favorable opinion of Netanyahu than they do Obama. If one were to listen to all the rhetoric you would think the entire Democrat party was going to boycott the speech. Nothing could be further from the truth. Only 10%. In fact there's a group of Democrats who are at odds with Obama and his handling of Iran. The limited number of tickets for the event have been hot items.

Yeah, from your very biased republican goggles maybe, but in reality he is of course doing none of what you accuse him of. Don't get me wrong, overall his presidency was not a successful one but it was also not such a failed one as his predecessor.

If the republicans would have been able to find a reasonable opponent for him in 2012, then maybe Obama would have lost. They however failed to do that. They choose Richie Rich's Mormon great uncle with little charisma, little political upside and a habit of saying things that were very bad for his elective chances. Let's remember the 47% comment, the dog on the roof, the magic underwear.

Sure, the 47% comment was procured through a bit of deception, but it just showed that you cannot trust a republican, he may say one thing but when the camera's are not in sight, he is the same old republican person who has no clue as how to relate to anyone but their base (a very conservative out of touch base as can be seen during the primary season, after which Mitch needed to etch a sketch himself a new persona). And if the republican party does not mend it's ways (from all the presidential campaigns I have been following since Bush/Dukakis), they will fail to win the presidency for years to come. They may need to play lip service to the very very conservatives but that all but destroys their chance with moderates, because they have to ask themselves, when was the republican candidate lying through his teeth, when he was boasting that he was the most conservative candidate out there/the candidate who would make all the very conservative wishes come true (gay wedding, abortion, etc) or when he claims to be a moderate who will fight for all Americans and not just tea party voters/ultra conservative voters.

With the democrats there is no real liberal threat to force the front runner to pay lip service to the ultra liberals in the democratic party and can do her/his best to play for the American moderate/independent with issues that will work for both liberals/democrats and independents/moderates.

Is this your version of "No True Scotsman"? I don't pay ENOUGH taxes!! If I did, I'd vote republican, obviously.

Only 19% of voters is made up of individuals that make less than 30k a year. Seems difficult to win elections if you only cater to that group.

suffice to say GWB was much better President.. and that your liberal slant is very obvious..

Here in the USA we know Obama is a bonafide national disaster and not fit for office.. he never was..
