DHS intelligence report warns of domestic right-wing terror threat

I just proved to you that Hans Blix, who led that team, says there was nothing, nada, zilch, zip. He went home and wrote a scathing letter about the liars. And has subsequently given a bunch of speeches about this. Hans Blix was there, you were not, so I'll go with his report.
"Hans Blix said in late January 2003 that Iraq had "not genuinely accepted UN resolutions demanding that it disarm."[64] He claimed there were some materials which had not been accounted for. Since sites had been found which evidenced the destruction of chemical weaponry, UNSCOM was actively working with Iraq on methods to ascertain for certain whether the amounts destroyed matched up with the amounts that Iraq had produced.[65][66] In the next quarterly report, after the war, the total amount of proscribed items destroyed by UNMOVIC in Iraq can be gathered.[67] Those include:

50 deployed Al-Samoud 2 missiles
Various equipment, including vehicles, engines and warheads, related to the AS2 missiles
2 large propellant casting chambers
14 155 mm shells filled with mustard gas, the mustard gas totaling approximately 49 litres and still at high purity
Approximately 500 ml of thiodiglycol
Some 122 mm chemical warheads
Some chemical equipment
224.6 kg of expired growth media
Iraq and weapons of mass destruction - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You 'proved' precisely dick. Blix, Ritter...they all confirmed the same thing. They could not account for or find what they knew previously Saddam had.

None of that **** could create the fabled mushroom cloud over a US city that BushCo scared old ladies and children to death with. And ginned up support for his violation of international law with.

Besides that, you can't say that you can't find something on somebody, but insist that they have it, and prosecute them for it. I mean Bush can, but you get my point.

Comparing domestic right wing to ISIS is dishonest.

If this list in the link below is correct and with so much unchecked rampant hate in the US, it would be foolish and naïve to dismiss domestic terrorism...

Terror From the Right: Plots, Conspiracies and Racist Rampages Since Oklahoma City | Southern Poverty Law Center

A few highlights:

In 2011, a group called "Forever Enduring, Always Ready (FEAR) plotted to take over a military base, blow up a dam and poison apple orchards in Washington....

In 2013, two white supremacists plotted to build a truck-borne radiation weapon that could be turned on remotely and that they hoped to use in the mass murder of Muslims and others....

In 2014, a guy in Texas plotted to use C-4 explosives and weapons to rob banks and armored cars, blow up government buildings and mosques, and kill police officers .....

Now is not the time to turn a blind eye to terrorism here in the USA, domestic or otherwise.

lol, is that the best you have? 4 dismal attempts at what now?

I mean really, we should give up all of our freedom because of this epidemic of "right wing terror".....

The gov fear mongering is working I see.

and the SPL is not known for it's honesty so, I'd need some other source to even look at these 4.... you found.

Four? I counted at least sixty-nine domestic terrorist attempts since 9/11/2001. That averages to be about four or five attempts a year and I'm pretty sure you can find a local news account of every single incident. Here, I'll pick one at random from the SPLC......

Jan. 17, 2011
Bomb technicians defuse a sophisticated improvised explosive device (IED) found in a backpack along the Spokane, Wash., route of a Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade with 1,500 marchers. Using forensic clues found in the dismantled bomb, officials about two months later identify and arrest Kevin William Harpham, a longtime neo-Nazi. Harpham had posted more than 1,000 messages to the neo-Nazi Vanguard News Network since 2004, when he was a member of the neo-Nazi National Alliance. Harpham also had contributed to the white supremacist Aryan Alternative newspaper. He is indicted on one count of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and one count of possessing an IED. Later, federal hate crime charges are added. In December 2011, Harpham was sentenced to 32 years after pleading guilty to attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and placing that bomb to carry out a hate crime.

Here's the news account of the same incident....

Here's another one.....

November 28, 2014
Armed with a .22-caliber rifle and an assault rifle, Larry Steve McQuilliams, 49, fires more than 100 rounds at a police station, a Mexican consulate, a federal courthouse and a bank in downtown Austin, Texas, during the pre-dawn hours. He also tries to set the consulate on fire before he is shot dead by police. No one is hurt in the attack, which causes extensive damage to the buildings. In a rental van, police find multiple propane cans fashioned into homemade bombs and a map of 34 targets, including two churches. They also find Vigilantes of Christendom. The 1990 book inspired a white supremacist doctrine known as Phineas Priesthood, which finds divine justification for violence against those seen by such “priests” as enemies of God. The Austin police chief describes McQuilliams, a felon, as a “homegrown American terrorist trying to terrorize our people” and says a note found in the book “discusses his rank as a priest in his fight against anti-God people.” Statements made in police interviews also tie him to ultra-conservative groups with anti-Semitic, anti-LGBT and racist views.

And here's the news account....

Bush gave 3 reasons for attacking Iraq. 1-Iraqs refusal to comply with UN resolutions, 2-Iraqs support of global terrorism. 3-Saddams commission of genocide. 3 primary reasons. All 3 were undeniably true.

Let's pretend for a moment that the Boston bombing was not a staged event carried out by the rogue faction of our own government. Did all of the domestic spying on americans and losses of freedoms etc. make a difference? NO, because it happened anyway. Creating terrorism (when it doesn't exist here) to scare americans into submission is what seems to be the game here. It's getting old. How many of those incidents you mentioned were the FBI setting it all up where otherwise it wouldn't have happened?

Yes, a racist Christian group that plotted to use weapons of mass destruction and intimidation to pursue their political aims AKA terrorism.

You'd lose that bet because there aren't any black terrorist groups currently operating in the US. What a shame, now you can't blame blacks for white extremism.

Sorry, but I'm not going to pretend the government is responsible for the Boston bombings.

Oh Jeez...the Department of Paranoia needs to justify it's budget again.

Nothing like rolling out the old unprovable terrorist threat.

Not really a right wing group.

You missed the point, you want to broad brush your political enemy by the actions of the statistically nill. if you wanted to be consistent you would need to apply your logic across the board. The prejudiced and bigoted position is yours, not mine.,

WASHINGTON, Sept. 23 — A stark assessment of terrorism trends by American intelligence agencies has found that the American invasion and occupation of Iraq has helped spawn a new generation of Islamic radicalism and that the overall terrorist threat has grown since the Sept. 11 attacks.

Fear mongering. So many "threats of terrorism on the rise", yet actual ACTS of terrorism, are extremely rare. like lightning and lottery ticket rare.

I find this statement a bit naive, but yes, we shouldn't let the anticipation of a possible attack deter us from living our lives. Living in fear would make a terror thread real.

1-You will get no argument from me that the post war ops was mishandled, but theres a whole lot that was mishandled by a whole bucketload of stupid people. With our soldiers still in theatre...still in harms way...US politicians sold them out in the name of politics. Dont think our enemies dont pay attention to our press and the actions of our politicians. ALl those piece of **** democrats we talked about earlier...all of them that trumpeted their knowledge of Iraq and Saddams WMD program...suddenly they went into election mode and blamed everything on Bush. The illusion of unity vanished. Our enemies arent stupid. They know all they have to do is give us an excuse and we will tear ourselves apart. Why are there so many terror attacks? Why do they film beheadings? Because they know it works.

2-Regardless of the mishandled post war ops, ISIS and the current **** that is going on is a bi-product of the 'Arab Spring'. What...did people think there wasnt going to be a repercussion by embracing anarchy in Egypt, Libya, Syria, and other countries in the ME?

Agree...disagree...meh...I dont really care. There are still morons that think we shouldnt have entered both World Wars.
