Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America[W:649]

Re: Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America

If you can document this, it just further demonstrates that we don't need Mrs. Clinton as our next president. We need a president that is indifferent towards and not connected to, Saudi Arabia.

Salem bin Laden, Osama's brother, has conducted all his American affairs through James Bath, a Houston crony of the Bush family. Bath's former business partner Bill White testified in court that Bath had been a liaison for the C.I.A. In 1979 Bath invested $50,000 in Arbusto, George W. Bush's first business venture. "In conflicting statements, Bush at first denied ever knowing Bath, then acknowledged his stake in Arbusto and that he was aware Bath represented Saudi interests." (4)

In fact, we've had too much of that already.

Here it is Monte. :2wave: From the WSJ. Natural they defended themselves. Oh, and I agree with you about the Saud 100%.

Clinton Foundation Defends Acceptance of Foreign Donations.
Charity has received funds from governments of U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, Oman and Canada, among others
.....

The Clinton Foundation on Wednesday defended its practice of accepting donations from overseas governments, amid concerns from some ethics experts that such contributions are inappropriate at a time when Hillary Clinton is preparing to run for president. A Wall Street Journal review of donations to the Clinton Foundation in 2014 showed the charity received money from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Oman, among others. The donors included Canada’s foreign affairs department, which is promoting the Keystone XL pipeline.

The foundation had agreed to stop raising money from foreign governments in 2009, after Mrs. Clinton became secretary of state. That step was in deference to Obama administration concerns about the propriety of taking money from other nations while Mrs. Clinton served as America’s top diplomat. Mrs. Clinton left the State Department in early 2013, and the foundation later dropped the ban.....snip~

I think saying that Obama doesn't love his country is harsh and unreasonable. To say that he criticizes his country publicly and apologizes for it is accurate. A president shouldn't do that even if he believes it. A more effective role for the president is that of cheerleader rather than critic. If something can be improved, improve it. Don't apologize for it.

Re: Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America

Btw Monte.....check out how grandiose the Saud is with the Clintons.

Saudi Arabia, a previous donor, has given between $10 million and $25 million since the foundation’s creation. An unspecified portion of the money came in 2014.....snip~

What happened......the Clintons said all was listed down on their website. More detailed than anything else out there. I guess someone forgot to put the amount in 2014.....huh. Drabnabit.

But you will luv this one.

Newsmax, a conservative news organization, last year pledged $1 million to the Clinton Foundation over a five-year period, according to a spokesman for Chris Ruddy, the organization’s CEO. Mr. Ruddy has been friends with the Clintons since 2007. Through a spokesman, he said the donation wasn't tantamount to an endorsement of Mrs. Clinton’s potential campaign, though he thinks she would “make a great presidential candidate.”.....snip~

Greetings, MMC. :2wave:

What is not being acknowledged regarding Giuliani is the fact that he was stating his opinion - a right to free speech that is guaranteed to him, the same as anyone else! When it comes down to it, how many people really give a rat's behind about what Giuliani says about anything? I doubt many do, but here we are, 63 pages later, still sniping at each other about it. C'mon, really?

I'm inclined to give an "A" to whoever thought up this piece of sheep-herding propaganda, because it has apparently successfully diverted people from thinking about the numerous real problems this country is facing!
:congrats:

See, if I got to make the rules, NO US diplomat would receive money from foreign sources like this. But I wouldn't just prohibit the democratic ones, the Bush family wouldn't have received any either.

Yeah and he explained himself out too.

But you can see how the MS Media likes to play. But then now, they need to worry about who's going to start playing with them. As they are down to only controlling 7 out of 21 markets.

Morning Polgara. I guess that would be me. I do care, I also care about real problems we're faced with, and am discussing all that in threads too. I haven't seen anybody deny that Giuliani has a constitutional right to say what he did. I want people to be able to say whatever they believe. It's better that way. You might get a pat on the back, you might reap huge criticism. Giuliani wasn't invited to a pro Scott Walker outing because nobody listens to him. These types of embarrassing and revealing comments always make the partisan want to move along as quickly as possible, left or right.

Are you talking about the Clinton charitable foundation, or whatever it is, or do you mean personally they received money that they could go spend on a house, or Chelsea's wedding or something?

You can thank Obama for that. I do.

Who will you thank when Hillary takes the Oath of Office?

I can see the spin and excuse mode is hard to shift away from. Pretty easy to see control of Congress didn't mean much to liberal/progressive voters. Perhaps they were sending a message. Obviously many didn't receive it.

The Fox and The Grapes.

Do you really expect them to be rational?

That's rich seeing how I'm the one who brought a video and link and all you guys do is stroke each other in here with one-off sophomoric generalities like this.

They are talking about their Charity and their way out of paying most of those taxes.....even ethics experts are questioning it. Don't know if they caught them using the funds personally. It wouldn't be surprising if they did.

Re: Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America

That's all you have? Nothing substantive, just another prediction?

Like Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Joe Biden predicting dems will retake the senate last year?

I guess sticking to reality would mean having nothing to post.

If anyone is stroking its you. Who has control of the senate and house?

Reality sucks sometimes, doesn't it?

Politicians! Plural, D's and R's, shouldn't surprise you when it comes to ethics. Btw, what's an ethics "expert"?

Actually I've brought more. You just skim over them without response so you can kiss your friends in here while saying ridiculous herp derp generalities with your boys.

And that has absolutely nothing to do with anything I said whatsoever... no surprises here.

I take it they meant those versed in Legal ethics.....I just wonder how many are attorneys.

Well you asked about Clinton. But Like I said I wouldn't care what party they represent. There should be no money coming in from Foreign States and or Powers.

Yep, we did already agree to that, lets point it out everywhere we see it. "Legal ethics" sounds problematic too.

“I do not believe, and I know this is a horrible thing to say, but I do not believe that the president loves America,” Giuliani said during the dinner at the 21 Club, a former Prohibition-era speakeasy in midtown Manhattan. “He doesn’t love you. And he doesn’t love me. He wasn’t brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up through love of this country.”

Giuliani says President Obama doesn't love America - Videos - CBS News

Seems to me he's got no other office to run for so he can say any idiotic thing he wants
. But Scott Walker was in the room, and he would like to be the next president, lol. Why people think they can say **** like this when they're in private meetings in a day when everyone has a phone with audio and video capabilities.

I don't waste my time reading or listening to what Rudy Giuliani has to say about anything. I am sure that he will be judged harshly by the historians who write the history of this era.

The Detroit Free Press posted a column about how Giuliani has destroyed his legacy: Giuliani destroys his legacy in attempt to destroy Obama

I have never liked Giuliani and nothing that he has done lately has changed my low opinion of him.

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

Its impossible for Liberals to leave the race card up their sleeve.

You're asking me to ignore the elephant in the room. I'm a realist with both eyes wide open. What are you trying to hide. Thanks be to the power that be you're not a part of my reality. Go in peace and trust me you don't need to respond.

he did rather well in taking down the Mafia families.... though not everyone see that as a positive.

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

Nope.
You could have stopped right there.
Unconstitutional Executive Orders are NOT a proper remedy for Legislative inaction about something the Executive branch wants for it's own political purposes.
Period.

We can have this debate in another thread if you'd like. Just pick any of the ones already started and we can go from there.
