Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America[W:649]

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

I agree with your statement. Giuliani is eaten up with jealousy that an African American got the top job, the same one he was running for. But truth be known, that statement is the classic Rudy Giuliani. Being a native New Yorker, I got to observe this "freak" up close. When he was running for mayor at the same time David Dinkins was the first African American mayor, Rudy riled up the police to march on City Hall to attack Mayor Dinkins. For a while there it was thought Mayor Dinkins would have to call in the National Guard to protect himself from Rudy Giuliani and the police force. Another thing, what Giuliani did on 9/11 is highly overrated; just like Chris Christie who used the storm, Sandy, to make him look like a super Governor, so did Rudy use 9/11 the same way. I'm still wondering what the A-hole did that was so spectacular to be called America's mayor?!

Its impossible for Liberals to leave the race card up their sleeve.

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

Which for all intents and purposes are republicans. The south is as red as it gets. Who's kidding whom?

What's that have to do with Obama hating America?

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

Like I said, those southern democrats are the republicans of today. We both know it.

those Republicans of today haven't passed any laws that are deleterious to the civil rights of blacks

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

The original House version:

Southern Democrats: 7–87 (7–93%)
Southern Republicans: 0–10 (0–100%)
Northern Democrats: 145–9 (94–6%)
Northern Republicans: 138–24 (85–15%)
The Senate version:

Southern Democrats: 1–20 (5–95%) (only Ralph Yarborough of Texas voted in favor)
Southern Republicans: 0–1 (0–100%) (John Tower of Texas)
Northern Democrats: 45–1 (98–2%) (only Robert Byrd of West Virginia voted against)
Northern Republicans: 27–5 (84–16%)

Like I said, those southern democrats are now righties. And the southern republicans didn't vote it either back then.

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

I don't think any culture or nation values freedom. I think people value their own goals and values and believe it is in the best interest of the world to follow their lead. I think people support power structures of all sorts that they want to impose on others. I think that they waste their days on contrived ideals that have no chance of bringing about the dream in their head. I think most people think like small child and have no chance of ever growing to be something more.

So you are a elitist? Good to know.

Re: Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America

C,mon Tres, it's a common meme for the far right. Palin, Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter, Beck etc, have all inferred that he was, is a Muslim.
What's wrong with being a Muslim?

Re: Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America

Sounds to me what you're saying is, "Hate the sin, not the sinner". Here's how I equate your above comments with this common Christian refrain...

(Disclaimer: The following is not intended to go off tangent and rehash the issue of gay marriage or homosexuality in general. It's only an attempt to expand on quoted commentary as expressed above.)

If I don't like what someone is doing (i.e., homosexuals) but I believe firmly in equal rights, then I'll certainly condemn the behavior (i.e., homosexuality) but fight to protect their rights to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" alongside their right to "equal protection under the law". I don't necessarily have to like what gays and lesbians do publicly or privately, but I do have to respect their rights to choose a life (and a lifestyle) that makes them happy and to share in that happiness with whomever they so please (as long as such is a consenting adult). The same thing could be said of the President's attempts to invoke changes in social and/or economic policies that have proven to exclude some while lifting up others. That said, I can love the ideals of capitalism that have helped make America one of, if not THE, greatest country on Earth, but I can hate the greed and underhandedness such dangerous and/or misguided economic policies have wroth unto the massive where so few have so much and so many have so little.

There is this pervasive inequity and unfairness that has taken root in this country where so many are left behind and so few have a chance to succeed. And while there are some people who are lazy and do want handouts and believe that they are deserving of such, there are also so many more who have come to realize that "the system of things" just hasn't worked for them despite their honorable intentions and willingness to play by the rules and do good work. These are the folks who are being squeezed in the middle - the people who see the "Robin Hood Affect" in full effect - but it's their labor that makes this possible and yet it is those at the very top and the very bottom who are reaping the benefits of their efforts.

The system needs to be changed.

I understand your point, but I don't see how any of it has to do with his personal opinion on the people I'm talking about.

he has made it clear he doesn't like the folks who , in his words "cling to their bibles and guns and antipathy of people who aren't like them".. his chastisement is a matter of public record.
like most other humans, he doesn't give 2 flying ****s about people who disagree with him .. there's no love there.

most everyone will say they love the country, and I rarely doubt that sentiment... but most everyone will also harbor ill feelings towards certain people and certain cultures within our borders...Obama is no different, he's not a special snowflake.

The difference being Guiliani's family is characterized by criminals and draft dodgers, as well as Rudy himself, who had lots of trouble keeping it in his pants. But I don't expect you to understand the difference.
Wiggen, I see you making brilliant posts in other areas and posts like this on domestic issues. Where is the Wiggen I thought I knew???:)

Broadening it to an attack on Canadians - good job. Anyone else you want to slag? Bush maybe?
They do get hissy when it's suggested that the Big O doesn't love his country, oui? They still haven't awakened to noticed the $20 bill on the dresser.

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

Actually, no. The Democrats of today are the Democrats of yesterday. It's still the same part and always has been.

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

Does Obama's religion matter to you?

No, but it would be great if he were an agnostic or athiest.

Well, let he who is without sin cast the first stone. That first stone was Rudy's. He opened himself up to this don't you agree?
It was a legitimate observation and the left is in panic mode. His sycophants are wetting themselves because this Hope and Changer had his love of country questioned?

Others have been saying that for years and now they finally notice?
