Radical Islam = Radical Christianity
Like, woah. Really heavy, man.
Radical Islam = Radical Christianity
Thank you!
There is both. I heard there was this thingy claiming to be Christian and who worship him, called "Westboro"...
And you know what, there is also radical Sikhism, the bastards killed around 350 people in the Air India bombing in the early 80's, the first act of international terror in north America.
And there is radical Hinduism as well.
There is not, though, radical Islamism...according to Obama.
Westboro protested. There was nothing radical about them. They never killed anyone in the name of God, because the Bible does not teach that.

Is Christianity at war with equality because they don't believe in same sex marriage?
Is Christianity at war with a woman's right to choose because they don't believe in abortion?
Was Christianity at war with American blacks and other Americans of color as it was Christianity was used to legitimize slavery and segregation?
I'd say no. I'd say it just a bunch of asshats that are twisting religion to get motive people to empower them. The same applies to ISIS.
some christians don't support same sex marriage, none have set gays on fire.
Some christians are pro-abortion, some are pro-life, attacks on abortion clinics are rare.
Oh and the christians are racist one Is not worthy of a retort.
oh joy the "Christians did it to" argument.

ISIS is 200,000 fighters strong and has untold sympathizers. Are you rEALLY suggesting similiarities?
They do drag them around behind trucks though, and murder them from time to time.
That it happens at all is unacceptable. It just shows that extremist Christians are not unwilling to act.
Because the KKK isn't a Christian organization or anything.
"They" as in many instances?
If so, post the information that we may see it. If this is a regular practice, as you are comparing it to on going daily practices, there will be many, many, examples easy to find.
So, let's get them out here to see what is bull**** and what is chicken**** as we know going in there's manure in there
It doesn't matter how many instances, you find cases where Christians have murdered, maimed and harmed in the name of their God. It happens all the time. The only reason it doesn't happen more is because we have a secular society that doesn't permit such things. Oh, and Muslims living in secular societies don't commit a lot of atrocities either. But if you go to somewhere like Africa, where such secular societies don't exist, you find tons of Christians murdering others in the name of their religion, just like the Muslims. Extremist Christians are just as much dicks as extremist Muslims. And extremist Hindus. And extremist Buddhists. They're all dicks.

Cite that.
Today Christians murdered someone in the name of their religion where?
You are making a very wide sweeping, general accusation about nearly 200 billion people, you are implying that we all murder "all the time"
You have not presented any evidence it has happened EVER.
And it does matter how many instances, as you have compared all Christians to terrorists who are slaughtering men, women, children and infants with abandon.
You need to pony up on the bull**** instead of making reckless and wild accusations. "all the time" my pimpled ass!

No one is questioning the difference in magnitude (not this century anyway). What I'm saying, and what I think others are as well, is that we do not claim that Christianity, the whole religion, is at war with America because a few nutbags do something in the name of Jesus.
You cannot contribute the action of a few retards and claim they are the standard-bearers for all of the others that share the name of a religion. If so, Christians have to own all of their crazies as well and name them the standard-bearers for their religion.
That's not what Obama is trying to say. From what I'm understanding, Obama is saying ISIS does not represent Islam because they're not actually following the teaching of that faith. They are twisting it to empower themselves, much like the KKK did in America.
Thank you!

Nonsense. Interpreting Obama's statements as a denial that radical Islamism exists is foolish.
Then show us a direct quote from Obama where he admits that "radical Islamism" exists and is responsible for terrorist acts. Go ahead.
See his comments about "hijacking religion." His deliberate disassociation of ISIS from mainstream Islam has a purpose that appears to be lost on those eager to condemn all of Islam for the actions of its extremists, or who are unwilling to look at the root causes of radicalization.
They aren't hijacking religion any more than Mormons are hijacking Christianity. There are tons of different sects of Christianity, more than 41,000 at last count, who is "hijacking" religion from whom? All that's being done is you (or Obama) is declaring that one version of Islam is "acceptable" and others are not, just because they can deal with one and not the other. Neither you nor the Idiot in Chief get to decide what is a valid religion and what is not.
When people use religion as justification to perform unspeakable acts, that is "hijacking religion."
Unless that religion demands unspeakable acts, at which point it's just following the religion.
Parts of the Bible demand killing people for all sorts of offenses. Would doing that just be "following the religion"?
