ISIS reportedly burns 45 people alive

True, but they've been doing that all along. OBL wrote us all a very clear and precise if lengthy letter articulating both his grievances, and his plan of response if they are not addressed. And those grievances that everybody wants to dismiss, are not the ones that Bush and now Obama want us to believe they are!

Except for that Part about declaring War on Rome.....they didn't say Italy at first. They said Rome. Which with their meaning and intent.....has nothing to do with the US and its policies.

Of course not, I don't pretend that the US is the Islamic States only enemy.

Those scumbags have just targeted the catholic church, which is Christian! How about we target some of their Allah Akbar worshipping ones to even the score?

And were they really talking about modern day Rome, Italy, or were they flashing back to when the Roman Empire symbolized government in general? It seems to me they're still living in Biblical (or Koranical, if that's a word) times.

That is obvious, but I'm telling you that they are not alone.

In 2003 while lobbying leaders to put together the Coalition of the Willing, President Bush spoke to France’s President Jacques Chirac. Bush wove a story about how the Biblical creatures Gog and Magog were at work in the Middle East and how they must be defeated.

In Genesis and Ezekiel Gog and Magog are forces of the Apocalypse who are prophesied to come out of the north and destroy Israel unless stopped. The Book of Revelation took up the Old Testament prophesy:

“And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle … and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.”

Bush believed the time had now come for that battle, telling Chirac:

“This confrontation is willed by God, who wants to use this conflict to erase his people’s enemies before a New Age begins”.

Yes, well, we'd better be sure we don't elect a fundamentalist to the White House. Statements like that coming from the CIC of the most powerful military on Earth are more than a little bit scary.

But, isn't there supposed to be a thousand years of peace before Gog an Magog do their thing, or do I not remember Revelations correctly?

Well, the ones in Libya just reminded Italy they are only like 109 miles from one island and 300 from Sicily.....so I think they were addressing todays Italy.

But the original threat was from ISIS prime.....and those around Baghdadi. But that was to come after they allegedly take over the ME and parts of Africa.

And they can stay there for another 2000 years! No one will miss them!

What can Rome do.....even Italy just said. They would wait on the UN and the Security Council for action.

I wonder if that's before or after they bring on Armageddon by martyrdom?

The Vatican has priceless historical articles stored there. The scumbags should not be allowed to go near the place. The UN had better make that clear.

Many others are wondering the same thing.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), which declared this week the formation of an Islamic Caliphate, has claimed the possession of long-distance balletic Scud missile.

Jihadist members of the militant group have published Photographs of what appeared to be a Scud missile being paraded on the back on a truck surrounded by masked men in the Syrian city of Raqqa -the alleged capital of the proclaimed “Muslim caliphate.”

It’s not clear whether the weapon is operable and whether it poses a threat.....snip~

And to think, they have ran over and taken 4 military bases from the Iraqis and 4 from Assad.

Right now....Ban ki and the UN are panicking over whats taking place in Yemen. So last thing on their minds will be how much Rome has. besides they are into that wealth re-distribution thingy too.

The U.N.? Hahahahahahahahaha. Have you seen the artifacts they have pillaged from Syria and Iraq with assholes abound willing to pay to possess them? The U.N. somehow going to stop it? What a joke. The U.N. is part of the problem.

Scud missile? Isn't that what we were shooting down with our Patriot missiles during Desert Storm?

This allegedly occurred but there has never been any indication that this thought was ever expressed in English to the American people or his advisers.

This only underscores the accusation against you that everything is the fault of America and/or their leaders and that you'll believe anything negative about them that comes your way.

That made no sense whatsoever, but why be surprised. Anything interesting out of San Jose or Winnipeg today??

What about a symbolic Rome, as in the Catholic Church?

Well we know why they were making the distinction......still can't get past some of their history and why the idea was always a delusion.....as well as their worst nightmare.

Lol, I don't know, but I was thinking that the great battle to which Bush referred precipitated the thousand year millennium. Anyway, I agree with you that we shouldn't be electing dispensationalists like Bush to the post of CIC.

or at least to cheer on fellow Muslims who are willing to fight ISIS.

Which will be great, once we see large numbers of Muslims out there with guns, shooting at ISIS. So far though, not so much.

The UN idiots saying that they needed to monitor our elections sealed my opinion about them. We do not report to them, but Obama and Hillary did bypass Congress and went to them whining once or twice, which probably made them feel important, but the rest of us have a Constitution to guide us. Those scumbag rebels in the ME should be disposed of, and it doesn't have to be done humanely either as far as I am concerned. The Vatican is off limits, and I'm not catholic!

Apparently nothing is off limits. And if you want to deal with what you consider the in humane in like manner, you may do so, I suppose, but you haven't any moral authority to tag along with you.

You are not this stupid.

What ISIS wants is for the US to unleash its military might, which (in their minds) will inflame the rest of the Muslim world into revolt and, in their moronic ideas, the ushering in of the next caliphate. They're nuts.

They don't care about dying; they don't care about their organization.

the caliphate part is correct... I'm not so sure about the rest , though... admittedly, I don't hold US talking heads/ opinion jounralists opinions in very high esteem
