ISIS reportedly burns 45 people alive

No doubt those inhabitants of Khan al Baghdadi provoked the ISIS fighters into doing this. Couldn't they have at least tried to be nice? I admit burning people alive sounds a little extreme, but we have to realize how disrespected and invalidated the ISIS people must have felt. When our inner child is abused, it's only natural that we lash out with violence. We saw much the same thing in Paris, where those mean Charlie Hebdo people invalidated Muslims everywhere by mocking the Prophet Mohammed.

We Americans are guilty of making Muslim jihadists do violent things, too, as Mr. Obama's preacher, Jeremiah Wright, reminded us. We provoked Al Qaeda into 9/11, as he noted: "America, your chickens have come home to roost." Professor Ward Churchill also reminded Americans that we brought 9/11 on ourselves, when he noted that the people who worked at the World Trade Center were "little Eichmanns." That is, they got their comeuppance for helping the American capitalist system oppress the less developed world. I'm sure Mr. Obama, with his anti-colonial Muslim roots, agrees.

These jihadists are people just like us. If we would all just try to understand their feelings as Muslims, and show them how nice we are, instead of acting like modern-day Crusaders, I'm sure they would want to live in harmony. But instead, just the other day, when a delegation of a couple dozen ISIS members came to the Al Asad airbase, presumably to dialogue about the misunderstandings between us, the belligerent, cowboy response was to attack and kill them! This hating and bloodshed will go on in a never-ending cycle until we Americans learn that violence never solves anything, and that an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

Mr. Obama...don't you have better things to do than post in DP?

I understand you are getting serious back draft on this weirdness, but you and I and the rest of the educated world know it's another invention of the Obama brain..

Mr. president, please get help

Part of me really wants to believe that our President and our leaders have some secret strategy that will make statements like "the JV team", the refusal to call these people what they really are, and our reluctance to do anything more than lob a few token missiles in their general direction, make sense at some point. I really do want to believe that he is not as completely incompetent as he looks right now.

I want to believe it too, Jack, but I think at this point it's painfully obvious that there is no strategy. Obama can't even bring himself to utter the words that everyone from the Pope to the leaders of socialist countries to the New York Times say about ISIS. If he isn't incompetent, he's something far worse. I'd rather assume he's just incompetent at this point.

They absolutely don't, nor do they care. They think they've got Allah on their side and they're going to win in the end, no matter how many fighters they lose along the way. Those people get 72 virgins after all, they're going to a better place and will be rewarded. Their goal is to convert or kill any non-Sunni Muslim, regardless of the cost. We need to stop pretending that these are reasonable people who can be debated. These are animals who need to be killed, to the very last man.

I agree these people must be destroyed, but I doubt they are as fanatic as they claim. I don't believe they would keep right on fighting until 99% or so had been killed, as, say, the Japanese garrisons on Iwo Jima and Saipan did. And I think part of the strategy, if Mr. Obama will let our military planners formulate one, should be to expose them as much less brave and fanatic than they would have the world believe. Circulating videos of groups of them being pursued and killed by tanks and artillery and aircraft as they tried to run and hide, or of their burned remains scattered all over the scene of a firefight, would do a lot to hurt the prestige they rely on. And exposing them as weak and cowardly would hurt not only the ones in Iraq and Syria, but also the ones in Libya, Mali, Yemen, and elsewhere.

These people seem to be daring us, BEGGING us to send in ground forces. Acts this brazen undoubtedly are meant to elicit a response...

They are.

ISIS is a death cult and I'm kind of curious to see what they have up their sleeve.

Without going too far off the conspiracy cliff I can't help but wonder if maybe they got their hands on something that Saddam wasn't supposed to have and certainly didn't manage to get into Syria before we went into Iraq.

I'm not the president. I speak only as someone who shares his concern for protecting Muslims from persecution by poorly evolved, culturally insensitive American yahoos who continue to cling to their guns and Bibles. Like the president, I know the U.S. should feel guilty for the litany of sins it's committed, and that what we are witnessing is just our comeuppance for Xtian, crusader aggression against innocent Muslims.

please take a seat, Jack.

As much as you would like to believe, the fact is there is no 'secret strategy", there is no strategy.

Barrack Hussein is more incompetent than he looks right now, he has the world's most powerful image makers seeing to it he looks good...thus it really, really is bad.

to have a strategy you need an end..a goal. You do not say simply I am going to war....you kinda need a reason. and that usually includes some kind of verb along the lines of "destroy", "kill" or "render unable to make war"...something besides "we are going to bomb...some things...."

You also need an enemy. Obama is not sure who is the enemy and is spending more time and effort on that and what to call them than he is on the wear itself.

And finally, you need some kind of yardstick to measure results on a realistic time frame. Eisenhower had Paris by August, General McCarthur had liberating the Phillipines ...

Obama has what?

What is the goal?

Who is the enemy, ISIS? Well that can't been because they call themselves Islam and he says they are not the enemy....

So we see a lack of another important ingredient to winning a war.....decisive leadership.

I do admire the level of hope you carry...but in this case, with Barrack Hussein Obama it is sadly misplaced.

Murdering helpless victims already demonstrates their cowardice, and their raping and kidnapping of innocents their morals. And still we sit and watch.

AH...barry....!

That is White House gospel word for word, propaganda central. If you are not Barrack Obama...apply for a job there, you ARE the cool aid.

I don't think that's a big concern over there. To get any significant military use from chemical weapons, you have to use large amounts of them. And there are technical difficulties in using anthrax that would prevent yahoos like these from doing much with it on a battlefield. Those things could be effective, though, if they had them, in terrorist attacks within the U.S. The longer these vermin are allowed to survive, the greater the risk they will attempt attacks like that.

The high horses. You forgot the high horses.

Of course they want that.... if US or western troops go in, then they can start using the crusade card.. a very powerful image in the middle eastern folklore and history. Nothing helps recruitment as an ancient enemy that is seen as the devil it self.

However saying that, this could easily backfire on ISIS as the victims are mostly fellow Muslims... Just look at the Jordanian pilot and the reaction there... not talking about the government reaction but the mood in and views in the country towards ISIS.

The crusade card only works for the hijackers of Islam. Who cares if they are all killed off? ISIS soldiers aren't real Muslims, anyway, right?

Its just unbelievable.

Obama's incompetence or his indifference on full display as his Foreign Policy or lack there of makes for a ever increasing dangerous world.

And the Coptic Christians beheaded over the weekend were ofcourse NOT Muslim.

All a dangerous enemy needs to grow in power is indifference to its threat. ISIS is getting that from the very administration that gave it the freedome to fan out of Syria unchallenged

I thought the real worry was a backlash by evil Americans in the States being mean to Peaceful Muslims....

As usual, you thought wrong.

Besides, Cindy Sheehan would become relevant again..... Noooooooooo!

oh, well that changes EVERYTHING!

..except it doesn't.

Oh, correcting you was intended to straighten out the misconception that this originated with Obama. The Bush administration expunged all references to Islamic extremism and jihad, but the yellow back patrons are programmed to only find fault with democrats. Really useless and unproductive.

After saying all that don't we have to look at the nations in the region. Countries like Jordan, Egypt the UAE and Saudi all have fighting forces with American arms and training. Any one, or group of these nations could take on ISIS if they want. Iran which is fighting in Syria could finish them off if they wanted to. Why should we do their dirty work?

We once played into exactly what Osama Bin Laden wanted in response to 9/11. We should not give ISIS what they want here. We need to learn that we cannot be the policemen of the world, and brutal and evil attacks groups enact does not deserve some sort of response from us all the time.

Its time we embraced a foreign policy of love. Lets stop shaming these juvenile criminals and show them we care. Lets give them the emotional support they need, a hand up in life if you will. Love can do great things...

I don't think that ISIS sees a difference between Christians and non-Sunni Muslims.

Untrue, they see Muslims as worse-because they "should know the true god" but dont for some reason.

This is why I lolz when people say they just hate us because we have "intervened". They hate everyone.
