Scott Walker side steps foreign policy questions on UK trip

Re: Scott Walker--Embarrassment to America

So you believe Charles Darwin relates to foreign policy? It seems the Liberals have decided what the major issue in the next presidential election will be.

Yep, they have. It will be BTO, The Guess Who, Rush, Loverboy, and Bryan Adams, that's it.

Re: Scott Walker--Embarrassment to America

He is an American politician going to London to hawk is wares. It was a political event for him and he got asked a question he would be asked on the campaign.
So the American media is just as stupid as the British media? Is this a contest to see who can become the most trivial?

Re: Scott Walker--Embarrassment to America

That doesnt really answer the question does it? But it DOES prove the media motivation.
The media is shallow, yes, but it seems much of their audience is just as bad.

I can only assume he is smart enough to realize that he is making Walkers case for him. It was meant to be a trip marketing commerce, not a presidential campaign outing (regardless of any other ulterior motives). We know all too well that if head answered all those other questions his haters would be pissing themselves over his campaigning on the state dime.

Haters gonna hate. And they HATE Scott Walker.

Re: Scott Walker--Embarrassment to America

Faith is fine...keep it the hell out of science and out of public schools.

That's a pretty big and illogical leap you make! Scott walker doesn't answer a question, so your assumption is that he wants to invade the schools and force people to accept his faith (which is an unknown in this discussion). Wow! Funny that you think he is the dangerous one.... seems like it's more dangerous to be making things up as you have done.

BTW, why keep faith out of public school? Is faith not part of the human condition? Is faith not foundational to understanding origin, history, and the motivations for countless events in every field of inquiry? Is faith not a part of student life? Here in America we do not keep religion out, we practice it freely, remember?

Re: Scott Walker--Embarrassment to America

Not answering a direct question can speak volumes.

Yes, but those "volumes" are of your making not his. If your fears and fantasies inform your opinion of Walker that's fine, but it's unfair and dishonest to attribute them to him, and then spread your make-believe version publicly.

"trivial" is making an issue out of this, such as you and I are doing. The whole thing is rather silly.

He is going to get asked a ton of questions in the campaign, often designed to find out who he is and how he thinks. Some of those questions are going to seem silly, but the results will be revealing. The guy has to get use to it.

You can have the last word on this, we are beating this issue beyond its death.

The easy answer is that evolution is a public policy issue. The foundation of modern microbiology and pathology, disbelief in evolution could lead to bad policy choices around disease control and other public health concerns. Likewise, evolution helps us understand biodiversity and helps us grasp what happens when we damage the stability of an ecosystem. Which is to say that a stance on evolution could also have consequences for environmental policy. And on the local level, what you think about evolution can matter for education policy: The standards you use, the textbooks you buy, and the school administrators you hire.

Scott Walker refuses to discuss evolution: There is no good reason to ask the Wisconsin governor about human creation.

Because faith, religion, etc should never be in a public, taxpayer school. Unless you want to waste the kids time by teaching them every single fatith, at the expense of actually learning something. If you want to teach dogma, do it in a private dogma school.

If a candidate doesn't define himself and his beliefs then his opponents will do it for him. That's just the nature of politics.

I don't know about the Koch's...They must scare the hell out of you though....Using your logic though, do you think that Soro's will be able to get Clinton elected?

They don't scare me because they are mortal people who will, like everyone else, die. They are not doing the world much good by their activities, unless you believe that rich people should have everything, and even looking at it like that, they are not doing themselves any good because that opulence is the rope by which they hang themselves.

You really have no idea how the real world works do you?

Actually you don't have an idea how the real world works. Who do you think these people are?

Oh for God's sake. Why don't you look for ways to enrich yourself, and benefit society rather than pissing, and moaning that others have more than you.

You think that I moan such a thing, but actually you are projecting.

Re: Scott Walker--Embarrassment to America

Yep, those liberals sure have a knack for asking those piercing questions; you know, the ones that make you really think, like "Do you believe in evolution?" or "What newspapers do you read?" Those questions could put anyone into a cold sweat.
Funny how when I ask what news outlets liberals use in here I often get dodging, or a "what does that matter?"

Do you actually expect me or anyone to believe that if you had wealth on the same scale that you wouldn't use it in the political arena?

No, I was clear...I think you are whining that one political side accepts money from a wealthy donor, while not acknowledging that the other side does the exact same thing.

Me personally? No I would not, certainly not on that scale. There are better things that could be done with that type of money.

That's not what you said. What you said exactly was

Why don't you look for ways to enrich yourself, and benefit society rather than pissing, and moaning that others have more than you.

I don't moan because other people have more than I do because I have ways of being happy that don't depend on material possessions. It is possible.

Well, that is your choice....And some might criticize you for not being more involved...So, you would enjoy the freedom of doing with your money what you wish, but you don't want others to have that same freedom...I see.

No one is free to do what they wish, even people with money.
