Irrelevant.
A person confronted on the streets only has to verbally ID their self when asked by police.
When engaged in an activity that requires a license, such as driving, you must produce the license when requested.
As this happened on the streets (so to say) the officer performed both verbal and flashed his badge.
Which is sufficient.
Which has absolutely nothing to do with ID'ing your self for such an activity like voting.
The police have no business busting in unless they have reason to believe a law is being broken. What law was this person breaking, and why would the officer go ahead with an arrest when it became clear no law was broken?
