School worksheet tells kids GOP thinks helping poor 'waste of money,' parent [W:78]

Topics about individual plants for political parties outside of a historical topic should be outside of any school curriculum. The place of school is to educate about facts and not opinions.

We should be teaching kids how to tell the difference, and how to know when opinions are supported by facts and when they fly in the face of facts.

Yes. It's called "critical thinking."

Yes. It's called "critical thinking."

I believe that's what it was called when we were required to teach it.

Along with lessons about how Republicans suck and Democrats rock, that is. We hardly had time, what with putting condoms on bananas and indoctrination about how Johnnie has two daddies or two mommies and such important stuff as that.

Sarcasm? If you have to ask, your sarcameter is seriously broken.

Have you noticed how many people today cannot properly distinguish between, and use “there”, “their” and “they're”; or “your” and “you're”? My generation did not get past elementary school without learning this.
I find this really interesting because of what happens next.
Basic literacy.
This is called a sentence fragment. Our generation and the ones who have come after us did not and do not get past elementary school without learning this.

I assure you the trouble of "there", "their" and "they're" and "your" and "you're" is quite prevalent amongst older generations as well. Hell, there's a substantial number of folks in the older generations who struggle to read. My wife deals with them on a regular basis. Your criticism of recent education is quite misguided.

Nothing sinister or unhealthy about subjecting your kids to today's indoctrinations at the old schoolhouse, I'm sure.

See, not a single moderate..................because they don't really exist.
