Netanyahu ‘spat in our face,’ White House officials said to say[W:223]

Oh, and just look at the excuses coming out of the liberals....Elections, WH meetings, etc...All red herrings...next you know, they'll say that no one in the WH said this....My God...This group should be laughed at out loud...Bunch of children.

Speaking of "red herring" and being "laughed at out loud" weren't you the one complaining about Obama eating dinner while Netanyahu had to wait? And weren't you the one liking comments that call Obama an anti-semite? And werent you the one that stated that Obama "isnt helpful to Israel" and that he basically doesnt care if they got attacked?

The present end state is around June or July- no agreement by then or substantial agreement, verifiable, "Trust but Verify" then the time for negotiations is over.

yeah, what's this, about the 6th time a deadline has passed? mmmmmk.

yep, I sure am, and I'd say it all again....Don't like it? Too bad.

Last year the Republicans tried to stop the Obama administration from releasing frozen cash assets to Iran but it went nowhere because of a Democrat Senate. During these nuke talks so far Obama has released over 11 billion dollars.
U.S. to Award Iran $11.9 Billion Through End of Nuke Talks | Washington Free Beacon

Now who in a right state of mind would release that type of cash to a nation just a couple of years ago were engaged in terrorist attacks against our soldiers? Who in their right mind would give over that kind of money to a country who is known to be behind funding Lebanese Shiite militants of Hezbollah (which Iran helped found in the 1980s) and Palestinian terrorist groups like Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command? Would a friend to Israel do such a thing?

And what about the reports trickling out about satellite images taken outside Tehran that shows the first long-range missile newly developed by Iran that can reach far beyond Europe?

I really don't care if the Obama administration is miffed over Congress inviting Netanyahu to speak. Tough stuff cream puffs. I hope Netanyahu brings with him a slide show to share all the evidence they have on Iran's dealings. Someone needs to stop this administration with its feckless foreign policies and a super majority would do just that.

If you think most of these threads have to do with anything besides attacking Obama you're mistaken. Consistency and all other forms of actual debate fly out the window when it comes to an opportunity to attack Obama on this site.

Yes, because we know that "unnamed sources" tend to be super accurate most of the time.

Just one small point concerning #1 of your comment don....If protocol is so important, then why wasn't it important when Netanyahu was made to wait as Obama snubbed him for dinner in the residence early on in Obama's presidency? Or does protocol only go one way?

No disagreement on this point. That kind of behavior should never have occurred.

No U.S. President since Israel was created in 1948 has shown anything like the hostility toward that Jewish state that President Limpwrist has. Even Jimmy Carter's obvious resentment of Israel--and Jews in general--pales in comparison. No accident that one of the Obamas' closest friends in Chicago was the Jew-hating leftist professor Rashid Khalidi. Kahlidi was a propagandist for Yassir Arafat and the Palestinian Liberation Organization Arafat founded. No accident, either, that Jeremiah Wright, the anti-American leftist preacher whose sermons the Obamas attended for twenty years, is friends with the Jew-hating Black Muslim Louis Farrakhan. They are so close they once traveled to Libya together to meet a man they much admired--Moammar Khadaffi.

I look forward to hearing Prime Minister Netanyahu, who is a far better and braver leader of the free world than the man who is currently disgracing the White House, address Congress in March. I only wish we had him here. If we did, there would be no concern about the jihadist regime in Tehran making nuclear weapons--the U.S. would long ago have driven it from power, or destroyed its nuclear facilities with a rain of bombs. Neither will ever happen under Limpwrist, our answer to Stanley Baldwin and Neville Chamberlain.

Yeah, right....Who gives a ****? Obama, and you Media Matters types have made a joke of not only language, but what this country stands for, you should be ashamed...Obama uses phrases like "long standing practices" if they are true or not....And has NO shame if he has to lie about them to create a soundbite for the nightly news...You people harm this country, and the world.

You are as deluded as they get if you think Obama is the 1st President to demand an end to settlements. In fact you are like sheep being led by the nose.

Reagan was not the only president willing to put daylight between the United States and Israel. His successor, George H.W. Bush, made waves at a 1990 news conference when he said, “My position is that the foreign policy of the United States says we do not believe there should be new settlements in the West Bank or in East Jerusalem.” It was a statement that could just as easily have been made by President Obama. But unlike Obama, Bush took this controversial position a step further, conditioning $10 billion of loan guarantees to Israel on a total cessation of settlement building. He later compromised and allowed the loans to go forward, but with deductions commensurate with Israel’s construction in the occupied territories.

His son George W. Bush is often held up as a model of unwavering support of Israel. But he took after his father when it came to settlement policy. As the New York Times reported in November 2003, the Bush Administration rescinded $289.5 million of loan guarantees to Israel as “punishment for illegal construction activities in the West Bank.” These sentiments were also expressed in international forums. Bush’s hawkish ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, serving as the president of the Security Council in 2006, issued a statement on its behalf declaring: “The Security Council underlines the need for the Palestinian Authority to prevent terrorist attacks and dismantle the infrastructure of terror. It reiterates its view that settlement expansion must stop and its concern regarding the route of the [Israeli security] barrier.”

I find your comment I quoted then pretty damn ironic since you have constantly brought up topics (and several based off no rational thinking or factual information) that are clear red herrings while criticizing the use of red herrings, and are hilarious (and no we are not laughing with you).

Were you born after Nixon's time in office?
With his anti-Israeli bulldog John Sununu ?

If you think most of these threads have to do with anything besides attacking Obama you're mistaken. Consistency and all other forms of actual debate fly out the window when it comes to an opportunity to attack Obama on this site.

Like I said in an earlier thread a while back, it seems this site is becoming a giant right wing circle jerk. Throw all rational thought, logic, and factual information out the window, just gotta hate on Obama.

Sure, let the nukes fly.

You do realize that Iran has sworn to destroy the "abomination" that is Israel right? You do know that Israel has nukes and missiles to launch them right?

You do know that Britain, the commonwealth and several other countries are sworn to protect Israel...

So, why would you say "go ahead, start WWIII, we'll watch"?

If they don't want a war, they should STFU. America and Iran are currently handling it through diplomacy. It's Israel that's behaving like a pack of wild dogs.

Barack Obama's father was not famous in any way. You're just making things up now.

So you knew what he meant you just would prefer "was famously an atheist" over "was a famous atheist"?

As per his atheism, who cares?

I'm guessing Obama did, which was the point of the post. He seemed to care more about the ideology of his atheist father than he did his "typical white woman" grandmother who raised him. He never wrote a book about her.

Not just Obama. It's fairly routine around here now for every thread to devolve into seething hate for the entire "left."

A number of points:

1. I do believe the Prime Minister should have notified the White House of his coming visit as a courtesy, not to request "permission" or "approval" for his trip. Diplomatic protocol is important.

2. The Prime Minister was invited to address the Congress. He most definitely should do so.

3. The AIPAC Conference had been scheduled well before new elections were scheduled in Israel. His attendance at the Conference should not be linked to the coming Israeli election. If he feels his presence would benefit Israel's interests, as the Prime Minister of Israel, he should attend.

4. On the issue concerning Iran's nuclear activities, the U.S. and Israel hold similar, but not identical positions. Israel's margin of error is far smaller than it is for the U.S. If Iran were to develop a nuclear weapons capability, that development would have profound implications for Israel and it would represent an existential threat. The implications for the U.S. would be vastly smaller--a regional balance of power situation and security threat to strategic U.S. allies--as the U.S. would not face an existential threat.

Two deadlines for agreement have now passed without the issue having been resolved. The differing levels of risk exposure lead Israel to support stronger sanctions more quickly, even as the White House seeks additional time. That each side holds a different position on sanctions reflects the risks they face; none of their positions is irrational or aimed at deliberately undermining the other party.

5. The kind of comments and threats coming out of Washington are petty, incompatible with American interests, and reveal a willingness among some aides to put largely extraneous matters ahead of concrete interests and international relations.

Heya DS. :2wave: Do you recall BO a couple years ago going into 2013 stating when he gave a time-frame that Iran would reach getting their Nuke?

Also.....besides the 2 deadlines coming and going. BO has given them another break, Right here in Dec.

US reportedly accusing Iran of violating nuclear sanctions.....

Washington has discreetly accused Iran of violating United Nations-imposed restrictions on purchasing materials for a nuclear facility, a US magazine reported Monday. Washington has evidence that Iran is attempting to purchase equipment needed for its heavy-water reactor at Arak, but has not publicly addressed the reported non-compliance, Foreign Policy reported, citing parts of a document compiled by US officials. Foreign Policy said it obtained portions of the confidential briefing, which does not name the US, that outlined the allegations of non-compliance. The paper stated that the US delegation detected an “increase in procurement on behalf of the IR-40 Heavy Water Research Reactor at Arak.”

Diplomatic sources confirmed to Foreign Policy that the United States presented the briefing to the UN compliance committee. Although Tehran has recently authorized increasing numbers of International Atomic Energy Agency inspections, it has yet to comply with the UN agency’s long-standing requests for information outlining Iran’s military involvement in its nuclear program.

Last week, outgoing Senate Foreign Relations Chairman Robert Menendez criticized the compromises made by the US and the other P5+1 countries and called for additional sanctions against Iran if a framework agreement is not reached by March 2015.....snip~

Moreover.....now with the Coup in Yemen wrapping up and knowing Iran was behind it. Should that be taken into consideration for these talks? Shouldn't Congress' legislation be ready to kick in if Iran doesn't comply? I think the Iranians need to be totally clear on that. The Stick that comes down. Automatically if they don't bring the agreement.

By the left do you mean the people who:

1) Are jealous and want to steal from the rich
2) Are lazy
3) Want to confiscate all guns
4) Allowed and are the reason for terrorism in Europe and potentially in the US
5) Godless heathens

Those people?

Oh c'mon, there's just as much seething hate displayed for the entire "right". Same circle jerk, different target.

No, I don't.

When was the last time Iran actually attacked another country?

America?

Israel?

Actions speak louder than words.

Yeah, you do. Iran has attacked us. Either you're very young or senile or something else I won't describe.

I know nothing about "circle jerks," so I defer to whatever you say about them. I understand these must be difficult times for President Pinocchio's cheerleaders.

Almost always when I have seen rational thought, logic, and factual information being thrown out the window, it was an anti-American collectivist doing the throwing. Some are such dim bulbs they have precious little to throw.
