That's awful. Medicinal effects of marijuana, particularly relieving pain, nausea and fatigue from victims of cancer and other debilitating diseases, is well researched and well documented. Makes me crazy when political pandering overrules science and common sense. The USA is famous for this kind of hypocrisy, although it's slowly changing... by force... by the voters, and I hope other countries will eventually do the same.

When are we finally going to acknowledge that cannabis has many, many medicinal uses?

This poor girl, Charlotte Figi, for instance, has Dravet's syndrome where she will violently seizure hundreds of times a week. Untreated it almost always leads to death. She now regularly consumes cannabis oil (which isn't even psychoactive) and her number of seizures have dropped to a handfull a week and she's able to live a normal life.

The anti-drug crusaders would take this little girl's medicine away and have her seizure herself to death. It's time we end this nonsense.

What is sad is that this is an informed decision being attacked by the uninformed prohibitionist crowd. It's not as if he's making his kid take Vitamin C shots administered by some quack doctor in Florida. He's not even trying to cure her cancer. He is trying to address the pain she felt and her weight loss. Both of which have been proven to be affected by cannabis. The courts are simply wrong on this one and I hope he rightfully sues.
