When will we get the message that were are destroying an ecosystem that used to be in balance?

A team of scientists, in a groundbreaking analysis of data from hundreds of sources, has concluded that humans are on the verge of committing unprecedented damage to the oceans and the animals living in them.

“We may be sitting on a precipice of a major extinction event,” said Douglas J. McCauley, an ecologist at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a co-author of the new research, which was published on Thursday in the journal Science.

Whadda you? A freedom-hatin' commie/socialist/nazi/pedo-pervert? EVERYBODY knows that humans don't cause global warming - it's a hoax anyway, even all those glaciers melting is just liberal imagination! I saw a snowflake this winter, so global warming can't be real!

And it's the same thing with the oceans - it's all just natural, we humans don't make messes of where we live ever! I know this for sure, 'cause I live on the Love Canal here in Bhopal, and I work at this place called Chernobyl....

People just don't get it until it lands on their doorstep. Then it is much to late.
Yeah, i am a perv, love sex, beer, more beer as I am old now and i ain't the Jack Rabbit I was when younger, sad to say.

Actually, the way things are going, Canada and the Pacific NW are going to be some of the best places to live. If we're all that's left, at least there will be good beer....

While climate change was always just for taxation and government control purposes, shifting focus to it has lead to disregard of real environmental issues of which the greatest is contamination of the oceans.

Maybe sea levels will rise a few inches, maybe not. There are winners and losers either way. But if the oceans die, we die. Unlike air and until the atmosphere, the oceans have very self-cleaning ability. What goes in the ocean stays in the ocean. What goes on land and in the air, also goes in the oceans and accumulates there.

The response of the government? Just keep raising what is declared safe levels of toxins. Unfortunately, sea life can't read that the safety level has been raised so don't know they aren't suppose to die.

Yep, Humans are the problem....I think these 'scientists', and the progressives that buy into these scare tactics should do the honorable thing...

Yes, I agree. 20 years from now we will see reversal of north flowing rivers, to the Artic, diverted to parts of Canada and the US.
I make my own beer. Not from scratch, 23 liter wart, add some things, but my own.

Cull the regressives, I never thought of that.
Have to give that some thought though. Thanks.

Can't debate the facts so you imply your opposition should kill themselves... stay classy champ!

Well, that essentially is what all of this crap is saying isn't it? All I am saying is that if the greens are saying that Co2 is the cause, and we as humans expel Co2 as a product of exhaling, then they should do the responsible thing and stop expelling Co2.

"Unprecedented Level of Human Harm to Sea Life Is Forecast"

That is a surprise? I can't count the number of times the end of the world has been forecast.

Have you ever seen a scientific study yet that didn't have us on the verge of destroying something? We're always on the VERGE. They cried wolf so many times, it's a joke. Take Al Gore with his ten year count (2006) to total global warming destruction.

So all scientists are wrong? The information is readily available on depletion of fish species.

As to Gore - well enuff said

No, they're not all wrong. But there is usually an agenda being pushed that you have to weed out. Just because people are scientists doesn't mean they never lie, never exaggerate, never have a political agenda. They aren't ****ing saints because they work in science. Engineers, on the other hand, are.

Yes, but when it comes to science I trust scientists over politicians.
Not fond of engineers eh?

Apparently Scientists can be just as corrupt as anyone else.

The NOAA got busted manipulating temperature data to arrive at a predetermined conclusion.

They claimed July 2012 was the hottest month on record.

That is until a REAL Scientist exposed their fraudulent methodology.

Of course they had to rescind that assertion.

When will you people ever get sick of being manipulated ?

No doubt about that. They ain’t angels. But I take the consolidated work of scientists over politicians with an agenda, who do anything, say anything to get elected.
Occam’s Razor does come into play.

Speaking of 'being manipulated'....When will 'you people' ever get sick of gullibly swallowing everything you read without checking the facts first?

It was a fraudulent claim by Richard Lindzen and Howard Hayden about NASA-GISS for which they later apologised when caught out. Of course the false claim is still being parroted by conspiracy theorists who never seem to bother to check the facts.

“NASA-GISS DATA MANIPULATION: CHANGE IN HISTORICAL DATA” - A GRAPH FROM HOWARD HAYDEN WHO NOW ACKNOWLEDGES:

I concluded incorrectly that NASA-GISS had manipulated the data. I am making every effort to correct my error." (Howard Hayden)

Prof. Richard Lindzen’s email to repealtheact.org.uk:

"Please accept my apologies for using the graph from Howard Hayden that purported to suggest that GISS had manipulated the temperature data. I asked Howard to check how he arrived at this conclusion. Here is his response:"

"Please accept my sincere apologies for misrepresenting NASA-GISS data. I downloaded temperature data from http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/tabledata/GLB.Ts+dSST.txt to make a graph in 2009. About a month ago, I went to the same file to get the more recent points and was surprised to find a considerably different data set. The formatting of the data set was the same, and I did not notice that the heading said that the data referred to meteorological stations only. As a consequence, I concluded incorrectly that NASA-GISS had manipulated the data. I am making every effort to correct my error."

Apology From Prof. Lindzen for Howard Hayden's NASA-GISS Data Interpretation Error

Misrepresentation from Lindzen
