Mike Huckabee Leaves Fox News As He Weighs 2016 Bid

this must be the Fox News Guy presidential candidate run. I kid Mike -he's a talented bass player.
Word of advice: stick to the music and show Mike. I'm sorry this isn't serious politics it's a side show

Huckabee was a successful governor, and he's very likeable. It's no secret that he's also a former Baptist minister, and perhaps this will count against him in our increasingly secular society. But that doesn't mean that he doesn't have a political base.

He may be likable but he annoys me. I hope he doesn't run. I think he's unelectable.

He will run if the donors get behind him, but they probably won't.
I think he will run but he wont get the nomination.

We need to get money out of politics. Donors shouldn't control these things. .

Now we are talking!!! I agree 100%

He doesn't stand a chance. Too much of a right-wing social wingnut.

Right now the field is becoming more crowded, and I think the winnowing out is going to be very interesting to watch.

A presidential candidate can fudge with intelligent design, which is the message of that poll, but an avowed creationist won't survive as a candidate.

That simply isnt true when 42% of America describes themselves as creaionists

He will run if the donors get behind him, but they probably won't. They will most likely go to Jeb.

We need to get money out of politics. Donors shouldn't control these things. Jeb is going to be pushed on conservative voters by the establishment and conservative media. They are have already picked their guy.

They dont, the voters do. To some extent a candidate cant run without some major donors but all the factions of the GOP have major donors, there isnt some magical candidate that would just win if they have the money. The top candidates get the donor money because they are strong candidates.

Very few people base their votes off of something as unimportant as creationism, and Huckabee will lose regardless of his stance on it.

Money will do most of the winnowing.

He seems to be a decent fellow and might be a good cabinet appointment, but an avowed creationist cannot be President.

Ever read the part of the Constitution that says there will be no religious test for any position under the United States? I'm sure most of the Founders were Creationists.

since so many were deists, i rather doubt that

Most were Deists, something a little different, but I understand your point. Nonetheless, an avowed creationist won't be elected.

So Fox now has room for that Katie Pavlich show that everyone wants so very badly. That is awesome.
So THAT'S why it's just me chose that screen name ... so the LIKEs look really cool.

Huckabee Schmuckabee ... the real question is whether Hillary will survive the primaries without screwing up so badly that even the media can't keep ignoring it.
And Huckabee has no chance except for another TV show.
Which is not to disparage the fellow.
I can't even think of an appropriate cabinet post.
Press Secretary, maybe.

Huckabee left FOX News today, looks like he'll be running for the POTUS position in 2016.

Well, if the United States wants to move several decades into the pas=t, I suppose he would be a great choice.

However, I recall his big theme in 08' was "energy independence, he is Obama with "drill, baby, drill" attached. But one wonders how he would achieve that since the US's largest oil partner is Canada.....

And he's pretty clueless on that score.

Delusions of grandeur....all he can do is hinder the progress of more qualified republicans.

Delusions of grandeur
i agree with this. he does seem to have a very high opinion of himself and what he has to offer

....all he can do is hinder the progress of more qualified republicans.
don't see that he would be a hindrance to any prospective candidate
was stunned last time out when he was invited to participate in the GOP debates while ignoring Gary Johnson, a fellow who actually had a lot to offer

I don't watch FoxNews. What sort of commentator has he been? Are people generally onboard with his opinions? Not talking about his last campaign, talking about now.

He's a social conservative with a friendly manner.
