Dontre Hamilton Shooting: No Charges for Fired Milwaukee Cop

Not convinced of anything.
Why are there baton marks on his head? Why did the cop decide that a baton beating was necessary?

Wouldn't have been easier, though less fun, to just hand the guy the baton before shooting him 'because he was armed'?
There are not 'baton marks'. You have no idea what the marks and abrasions are that are on his head or how they got there. All you did was parroted a supposition and conjecture and poof...all of a sudden it became a fact to you.

Witnesses observed no beating and we are talking about schizophrenic homeless guy with a history of stabbing himself in the neck. For all you know he fell down or rammed his head into a tree.

Great philosophy. Practiced on gun ranges against stationary paper targets all across the country.

Which brings us back around to my comments to Higgens. Cops don't receive fire discipline instruction on the level of elite military units such SAS, SEALS, or The Rhodesian Light Infantry. The RLI troopers would go on a Fire Force operation with 100 rounds and running out of ammunition was a court martial offense.

The anti-coppers expect that level of discipline and cool headedness and it just ain't going to happen,

Again...if you watch the video I posted from Ayoob, he points out that statistically, the cop that survives a shootout is the one that shoots til he's empty and then reloads. The FBI used to teach the standard double tap two to the chest, one to the dome. Great in theory...just not practice. Mind you...there was also a time when it was highly unlikely a cop would never need to clear leather with his firearm.

I understand what you're getting at and I'm saying the reason for that standard, is because cops don't receive the level of trading that would enable them to react differently in a shootout.

At some point people may get it through their head that 'homicide' is a category of a cause of death meaning people die as a result of contact with another human being. It is not a criminal decision or definition. The 'cause' of death is precisely what is expected...multiple gunshot wounds.
