Mayor Emanuel’s Son Robbed Outside Family’s Lakeview Home

(CBS) – The teenage son of Mayor Rahm Emanuel was the victim of a robbery outside the mayor’s Lakeview home Friday night, a spokesperson from the mayor’s office confirms.Police were called to the 4200 block of North Hermitage at 10:05 p.m. Friday for a report of a robbery on the street where there would normally already be a police presence.
Emanuel’s 17-year-old son went out to make a phone call when he was jumped by two men who stole the teen’s cell phone.
A police report obtained by the Chicago Tribune says that he was put in a chokehold by one of the suspects and punched in the face by the other. Emanuel reportedly suffered a fat lip and chipped tooth.

Not at all...I hope the young lad is alright...After all he had no choice who his parents are...It does however, speak to your own sick thoughts here.

I was trying desperately to find the point here. Sadly it's a fool's errand to find a point in your posts.
 
Well, a grand jury and many on the forum have declared there's nothing illegal about the chock hold nor does it cause any harm, so there is the question of slugging him and taking his cell phone.

We don't know that he didn't "resist" giving up his cell phone, so it comes down to a misdemeanor theft?

I hope his son is ok. I hope the criminals are caught.

Pretty much. There is nothing illegal about putting someone in a chokehold. So that's pretty irrelevant. Getting punched in the face, it's not torture or assault according to the constitution. So his rights weren't violated in any way. Why this even made the news is beyond me. It was just people doing nothing illegal. :lol:
