WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, the Texas Tea Party firebrand who nearly provoked the second government shutdown in a little over a year, on Tuesday apologized to his fellow Republicans for a strategy that backfired.

Yea, the asswipe attempted to shut down the government again, and as a result Obama gets to have votes on a dozen nominees, which will all be approved before this lame duck session comes to an end. Democrats are actually tweeting thanks to him for allowing more Democratic-picked judges. Meanwhile, mainstream Republicans are not happy with Cruz' antics, and plan to punish the attention whore by denying him committee assignments. Cruz is also toast where it comes to the 2016 primaries, and has become a pariah, as well as a laughing stock, in the Senate. Looks like Jeb Bush may end up in the driver's seat for the Republican nomination.

Buh bye, Ted, and thank you, McConnell, for keeping your promise to keep the government open.

You actually buy this weak-kneed bull****? McConnell and Boehner just sold you down the river, sucker. He didn't cause Boehner to be the weasel that he is.
